My Favorite Things Lesson #4

Print

Lesson #4 – Balance: Line

Summer school is almost over and this lesson was a bit hard for me.  We needed to show how line is so important when drawing the eye to the card that you are making.
I took inspiration from the Seize the Birthday challenge, and used just neutral colors, so that the line would be very important.
I will be entering this card in the My Favortie Things, summer School Lesson #4 and Seize the Birthday

Here is my Homework

Believe it or not, this is a one layer card.  I saw this technique and had to try it.  I started with a stencil that I made on my Cameo.  I inked it with Kraft ink From GKD and then moved the stencil slightly, and inked again with a lighter hybrid ink called New Canvas.  The banner is a Simon Says die and I used the Happy Birthday from MFT stamp set The Whole Heard, and the sentiment and dog are from MFT I Woof You.  I love how this has so much texture and yet, will be easy to mail.
Thanks so much for dropping in to see what I have been up to.  Today is a beautiful day to be outside.  That is where you will find me.

Your comments make me so happy, I do appreciate them.  Have a great weekend.

  2. Love the stencil you created and you are right I can't believe this is a one layer card. It has to be at least two...but I will take your word for it. Fabulous card. I am glad you found time to join all the challenges. Keeping my fingers crossed for a fifty dollar prize for you.
