Creative Confetti - Take 10

For this week at Creative Confetti, we are to make a card that only takes 10 minutes.  Great as I needed some Sympathy cards for my stash. I had this idea for one with the new Leaf border digi that comes with simple leaves.  I quickly put one leaf and sentiment on my screen and made four cards with it. I ran them through the Minc machine to add the gold and black foil. After coloring the one leaf with Copic markers and I sponged some blue color on the background.  Die cut them with several different frame dies and added them to a base.  I think that it took less than 10 minutes for one card, but I did four in less than 30 minutes.  Good thing, as my neighbor called me this morning with a request for two sympathy cards.  Now I have them.

I will be adding these to the Creative Confetti challenge for this week.
Thanks for stopping by and I sure appreciate your comments.

Double D Challenge - Silhouettes

This is the last challenge for October at Double D.  It looks like Darlene wants a Silhouette?
Well heck, I thought I would have some fun with this one.
I actually have no silhouette stamps, but I do have a Cameo that works sometimes.
That is where I went for my card.

My Card
This is a silhouette die that I cut with my Cameo.  I used orange paper behind the legs for the stickings. and Dry embossed with Diamonds on Key Lime card stock from Gina K Designs. I used some ribbon from my stash on the right side and also inside the card. The sentiment is computer generated.

The inside sentiment says, "If the hat fits, get the matching shoes and broon.  Happy Halloween!

World Card Making Day 2019

It's  World Card Making Day, and since I make cards, quess what I did yesterday?
Power Poppy has a challenge going on for WCMD and you have three chances to win a prize.  Right up my alley

  • Use a fall Theme
  • Use a sentiment that shows gratitude
  • Use A  Power Poppy stamp
Here is the card that I made yesterday.

Power Poppy Stamp So Grateful
Gina K Designs Chocolate card base
White panel with stencil done in Pumice Stone Distressed Ink
Image stamped and colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils
Spellbinder Die Floral Oval
Die Namics label die for the sentiment.

I had this stamp pulled out and laying on my desk to color and this was just the time to complete that task.  Check that off of the list!

Thanks for stopping by, take a look at the challenge, it is an easy one to be entered in three times. You can find it here.   Happy crafting!

Double D - Orange and White, That's It

Here we are in October for the first challenge at Double D.  It is Diane the team here for some great ideas on this theme. You could fall or Halloween.  Check out the inspiration board for this one

I decided to do flowers mostly because I just got this stamp and wanted to use it,
and who doesn't love orange flowers?
Here is what I did.
Using Simon Says Stamp Looking for Rainbows, Chantilly Lace die by Spellbinder, Autumn Abundance paper, Dots of Orange Stickles and the Die Namics banner die with a sentiment.
