Creative Confetti - Sketch it Out!

The new challenge for Creative Confetti is using a sketch.  This week has been so busy, I almost missed it.  Here is the sketch that we are to use.

Here is the card that I did.

Oops looks like my border is coming loose!  I will fix that later.  Now I just have time to finish this post.  I colored this while watching a movie last night.  So I thought that I would turn it into a card.
I used GKD new Skeleton Leaves for the base and a designer paper from Graphic 45.  The digital stamp is Countryside Bouquet, one of my favorites. I cut just part of the border from Spellbinder Romantic Rectangles.
I am entering this over at Creative Confetti at Power Poppy
Well looks like I an just a bit too late to enter as the challenge has ended.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure appreciate your comments.  Enjoy! Have a great weekend.

Seize the Birthday - Presents

It is time for another challenge this month at Seize the Birthday.  I love making Birthday cards as I always have plenty on hand to send out to family and friends.

That is what the toppings are for this challenge.

"PRESENTS"

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can juststick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

We have a new Surprise Party Quest for the next two months.
Please welcome her.
Her name is Lin and HERE is her blog Lin's Craft Corner.

Here is my card.
I started with a die cut that I received from a friend.  I placed that on a background made with alcohol inks.  I did a bunch of them one day when I was pretending to be Jennifer McGuire. Lol  This background had blue, pink and yellow inks and I kept that as my pallet.  Using the stamp from Power Poppy called Party Time, I stamped the sentiment in StazOn Ink and let it try.  Next, I colored the stack of presents and fussy cut them out. The panel on the right was great for shaker elements and I put a single candle on the bottom left.

Don't forget to see what the rest of the team has for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping in, I enjoy your comments.

Creative Confetti - Big and Bold

This week the challenge is to go big and bold.  I chose to do this with colors and design.
Here is the card I did.

Hard to see the gold that I foiled on the Perfect Poppies digital stamp. If you print on a laser printer,  you can put foil on it and run it through your laminator and it will add foil.  Next, I printed the image again, but this time, I colored the poppies with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out.  Then added them with some foam tape to the foiled image. I wish that you could see the gold.  I tried to do a video, but could not get it embedded in my blog.

I think that you get the idea!

I am entering this card in the Power Poppy Creative Confetti for this week.
Thanks for stopping by and if you know how to embed a video, I would appreciate the information.

Creative Confetti - With a Roll of the Dice

This week you need to roll the dice.  But what if you don't have any dice in your house?  You just take a deck of cards and pull out the numbers and pick a card.  I think that will work.
So for me, I got a five!  Each number describes a different challenge.  Five told me that I needed to add a ribbon or twine on it. There will be lots of different cards for this challenge.  So let's get to it.
Supplies for this card are: Power Poppy Azalea stamp set
Spun Sugar  and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides
colored pencils and Copic markers in pink and green
Spellbinders Hemstitch die
Gold embossing powder
Gold Twine
Clear Crystals ( I wanted pink so I colored the paper under them pink)

Can you see the stamping on the envelope?  I used GKD whisper ink and colored with a pink pencil

This was my inspiration.
I will be posting this entry in the Creative Confetti for this week

Thanks for stopping and I hope that you enjoy your day!  I appreciate your comments.

Double D Challenge - Frames

For this challenge at Double D, you just need to use a frame!  You can use one, or many like I did.

The PRIZE
Please note that  I used a very similar die on my inspirational card for this challenge.
I die cut the frame many times but it is easy as you only use a 4 x 5 piece of cardstock

Look at all of the texture that I got by just stacking the dies like you see them in the package.  I did use some foam tape under several layers to get different elevations.  That shimmer that you see on the YOU is Wink of Stella.

DieNamics Stitched Rounded Rectangles die
Aftenew Peruvian Lily stamp and die
Gina K Designs Die YOU
Simon Says Stamps You Matter

This was an easy card to do.  After dies cutting the rectangles, and arranging them I reached into my box of leftovers and pulled out a lily that I had done before. Sweet!

Thanks for stopping by and please see what the teams have done for you at Double D  Challenge

Creative Confetti - Simply Resistible

I was going through my stamp sets to organize them.  I thought that I would put all of the Christmas stamp sets in one place and then by company. I started out with Power Poppy stamps and didn't get very far.  I looked at this Amaryllis set and thought...."I can use that for more than just Christmas."
That is how this card started.  I didn't have a lot of time, so I kept it simple.

Here is the card that I did for the Simply Resistible challenge at Power Poppy.

This could be a birthday card, not just for Christmas!

A closer look at the embossing in white and then I colored the amaryllis with my colored pencils. Easy to do as the embossing resists the color. Next, I did a partial die cut with my brand new Spellbinder dies called Hemstitch.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Thanks for checking in with me as I have fun creating. Love your comments.

Seize the Birthday - Balloons

A birthday without balloons is like cake without ice cream. It can happen, but it is nice to have them.  Even just one is good, but I put lots on my card for this challenge at Seize the Birthday.

That is what the toppings are for this challenge.

"BALLOONS"

If you're not a toppings kind of  person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

We have a new Surprise Party Quest for the next two months.
Please welcome her.
Her name is Lin and HERE is her blog Lin's Craft Corner.

Here is my card.

DieNamics Stitched Mini Scalloped Rectangle Stax
Paper Trey Ink Scene It - Celebrate
Simon Says Stamps Hand Lettered Borders

Some of the balloons are stamped once and then I used second generation stamping for others.
I am looking forward to seeing your fun Birthday cards using Balloons or not.

Double D Challenge - Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration

You are going to have to really think about this challenge.  I am just going to repeat what the challenge says.  There are so many choices.
Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration
Be inspired by what you see on these hats,
maybe it's the colors, flowers even the horse...
look closely there is plenty...
does NOT have to be a hat!

The Prize

I hope that you see a hat here!  That was what I was going for and I think I did it.  You can do it too, but if not, I will be amazed at what you do.  Note:  I went to the Kentucky Derby once a long time ago and didn't even see a horse.  We were sitting in the crowded infield and I could not get close enough to the track to see them.  I just saw a cloud of dust!  So there you go, more inspiration for you.

Here is how I made this effect.  I cut two circles, one smaller and the other.  Put them in an embossing folder that looked like the inspiration picture. I sponged the edges with gray for the shading.  Then I stamped and watercolored the flowers and placed them on the hat.  The stamp is Altenew Peony Bouquet.
I would love to see what you all do with this one, enter at Double D Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are motivated to join in the fun.
