Make It Monday #199: Confetti Garlands

Make It Monday #199: Confetti Garlands
This was a very different technique for me.  I had not seen it before, but thought that I would give this a try.  Working on white card stock is not easy for me.  I seem to get ink or glue of fingerprints on it before it is finished.  Then I have to do card surgery on it.  Lol   This one was rather lucky and that was not the case.  But I did need to cover up some stuff that did not work out the first time and I am not going to tell where that is.  It is a secret.
Here is the card that I did for this confetti garland.

The recipe:  GKD card stock in Jelly Bean Green, Turquoise Sea and White
Stamp and die set from Paper Trey Ink, Give Me a Hand and
Dangled Stars die
Wink of Stella Gold on the dangled stars
You can see how it was done by Betsy Veldman here

I only brought some sequins, and one punch with me, so I used them to make confetti.  The Dangled Star die also has stars too.  I made the banner by stringing up the confetti that I made.  I will use this for a birthday card.
I'm going to be putting my stuff away for a few days.  Kids and grand kids are coming, so I will be busy until next week.  See you all then.
I so much appreciate the little bits of love that you leave when visiting my blog.

CASE A Card Mod Squad Challenge

                                                                       CASE A Card

I have had a technique in mind and have saved the page on my I pad.  Now is the time to use it.
Talk about pushing yourself to get this accomplished.  Yhew!  I do not have all of my stamps and supplies with me.  My challenge on all of the cards that I make this season, is to make them with what I have on hand. Here is where you will find the Winter Moonlight Snow Scene.  I basically used the masking and shading technique on this little note card.

This is the stamp set that I used, the trees are recessed, so I masked off where I wanted the moon to be on the actual stamp.  Then used white over the moon to enhance the trees.  I sponged with Distress Black Soot and also added some shading on the snow with yellow and gray and copic B10 marker.
Stamp set is from Hero Arts called Winter Trees and I added the Hello from Simon Says Handwritten Borders.
GDK CS is Sweet Corn, Black Onyx and White.
Oh, and the Sea shells are there to remind you that I am in Florida.  (sigh)

Thanks for little bits of love that you leave when you stop by to take a closer look.

MAKE IT MONDAY CHALLENGE

Make It Monday #198: Three Panel Cards

This is a challenge with a little different twist on the shape of the card.  Start with a 4 1/4 " by 11" piece of cardstock.  Score at 3" from each end.  Here  is the video for more information

This card went together rather easily.  I used the stamp and complimenting die from Paper Trey Ink called Big Hugs.  I love working with the set.  The die cuts very cleanly and the sentiment inside is just what I want to say.  I also used GKD, Berries and Vines Design Paper on the front panels, and Jelly Bean Green card base  After die cutting the word,  HUGS out of Jelly Bean Green, three times, I also cut it out of black.  Then glued them all together with the black offset to cause a shadow.  I really liked that.  On the top panel, I used Spellbinders die, Scalloped Borders Two,  for the  border.

Here is the inside, just one of the sentiments for this set.
I will be sending this one to my 90 year old aunt.  I visit her often and really enjoy the time that I spend with her.  When I get old, I want to be just like her.  While away, I can send her cards, as she does not hear very well on the phone.

Thanks for stopping in to take a closer look at this card.  Also thanks for the little bits of love that you leave.  So much appreciated.

Power Poppy

All you need to do to be in the running for Power Poppy of the week is to make a new creations with Power Poppy stamps.

This image is digital, which is very nice when your are traveling, like me.  Although, I am still getting the hang of printing them.  I know how to print just one, but in the case where I want more on the page......well, I need more practice.

Here is the very long recipe for this card.
CS - GKD Navy, Cherry Red, White and Fresh Asparagus
Digital Tulips from Power Poppy
Spellbinders dies, scalloped Circles and Timeless Rectangles(partial cut)
Lil' Inkers stitched circles
EF - Wicker Weave
Simon Says die BE and stamp set
Liquid Pearls
Distressed markers to color the Tulips, Barn Door, Festive Berries, Shabby Shutters ad Mowed Lawn
I hope that I didn't forget anything!
Thanks for your comments, if you care to leave any, I certainly do appreciate them.

Make it Monday and Simon Says Monday Challenges

Simon Says Monday Challenge INKY Background

I am combining these two challenges this week in my card. It was easy to do as the Make IT Monday Challenge, required a make it yourself sticker and the Simon Says Monday is an inky background.
Here is my card.

I started with a base of Sweet Mango from GKD and then a layer of DP from PTI, called Text Style Autumn Abundance.
Next I used a layer of White CS, again GKD, and sponged three inks to get the INKY background.
I used Distressed Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade.  Sounds good enough to eat.  That panel was die cut with Lil' Inker stitched rectangle die.
The stamp set is Feather Finery along with matching die.  I cut it out of the same design paper and stamped over it with Charcoal Brown ink.  I also cut the die from Easy-Cut Adhesive to make it a sticker.  After stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set, I added the feather sticker and when some Wink of Stella clear and Gold Stickles.
Thanks for the inspiration for this card, Laurie!  Love all of the new things that you can do, it is never ending.

I appreciate all of your comments, Seriously!
