Seize the Birthday - Summer Activities

For this challenge, it was my turn to pick, and since it is June and the start of summer,
I chose Summer Activities.

Of course, if you are not into toppings, you can just make it a birthday theme.

Here is my card.

This card came together quickly as I had some previously cut dies that I used. The background is a design paper from PTI that I thought was a fun water design. MFT is the stamp and die called Fun in the Sun. The seagull and some of the sentiment are MFT as well.

Be sure to see more of what the team and our Surprise Party Guest Lorraine have for your inspiration.

Power Poppy - The Blossom Challenge

Yes, you got it right! This is the second blossom challenge since breathing
life back into Power Poppy.
Isn't it exciting to see all of the Inspire Mondays with new and creative
 ideas for you to try?

Well it is time for another Blossom challenge this month Christine is calling it
The Glassy Eyed Challenge
This is an opportunity for you to try coloring glass.
Power Poppy has many stamps that are in or under clear glass, even the new
Accentuate the Positive set. There will be a list of those for you on
Christine's post for Monday.

I downloaded this image called Zinnia Parade and colored it up for an A2 size card with my Copic markers. They are my go-to for coloring. After completing the coloring I did use some Prismacolor pencils to sharpen up the image.

Our WINNER will receive a $20 gift card to use at the Power Poppy Store!! The challenge is open until noon on July 15th! Link up your project to the Power Poppy Blog for a chance to win!
Remember that you can print in any size when using digital images and you may be more comfortable with a larger size.  It does not have to be a card. Just try coloring.

Here are some of the cards that I have done in the past showing you different glass images

Sometimes I use the artist's lines to guide me. As I did here.  And here!

You can look at a picture of a jar.

Try it out and I would love to see what you do.

Seize the Birthday - Use your favorite technique #240

For the next challenge at Seize the Birthday, Ashwini is the host and she has decided on your favorite technique. You can do any technique that you like and it should be fun.

Of course, you can do any project just as long as it is a birthday theme.

I chose Heat Embossing. I love seeing the powder melt and I really should do it more.
For this card, I used the Gina K Holiday Tapestry stamp and a sentiment from MFT.
All heat embossed in Gold on Navy card stock.

GKD Monthly Mix challenge - Channeling Gina

One of my BFFs is the host for this next month's challenge at Gina K Designs.
It is none other than Judy Woodland.
You you need to do it look at one of Gina's many videos on YouTube and make a card like that. Just put your twist on it.

y decision was easy as I just received the beautiful embossing folder called Tapestry! Gina just did a video recently called Partial Embossing using this folder. My twist is colored cardstock.
Here is my card.
I did a partial embossing on the top and the bottom of this A2 card panel.  It is hard to see in the photo, but I rubbed perfect pearls on the raised parts. Then I added the Daisy from Sweet Spring stamp and die set. A few crystals from my stash and it was done.

I will be entering this card in the monthly mix at Gina K.

Double D Challenge - WHITE with ONE other color ONLY

  The PRIZE

Pops of color Ocean Waves pearl and white

My card
This is a pretty flat card that has dimension.  I used an embossing folder on the front and then a stamp and die from My Favorite things called Flowers in Bloom.  I thought they looked like poppies so I colored them red. I added a pre-printed sentiment.

I am also linking up to Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge
Here is where you can see more inspiration for your entry.
