Altenew March 2022 Inspiration Challenge | White-on-White Embossing

I don't enter many challenges as I did in the past.  When I saw this one from Altenew, I got an idea that would not leave my mind's eye.  Of course, I went with that idea.
It was an easy one and quick as well.
Above is the inspiration photo and the challenge is white on white.
You need to watch the video it is what inspired me.

This is the card that I will probably use for a male recipient.

A closer look at the splatters! So proud of myself when I can do splatters that work.

The supplies that I used are very simple. Altenew Banana Leaves Embossing folder.  80# cardstock, Copic markers in C1 and C3
Preprinted sentiment

I am entering this card in this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Double D Challenge - Handles - Something with a handle

Our team leader Darlene has chosen HANDLES for this next challenge at Double D.
If you look at the inspiration board, there are handles on lots of things, so have fun with this one.

Supplies for this card are: Graciella Digital stamp and a Minc foiling of the image. Yep, I went back to the first way of foiling an image and digital stamps work well for that. I printed two images and fussy cut them so that I could layer them and have some dimension. I like the way this turned out. I did Hot foil the background with a die from Pink Fresh called radiating.

Power Poppy - Folk Heart, Peace Offereing

Marcella Hawley has offered her sunflower images free to those who can use them.
What a kind gesture. Go and grab them up and then create.
But there is more!
Marcella has refreshed a drawing from a stamped image that she did years ago.  This image is offered on the Power Poppy website and all proceeds will go to Sunflower of Peace, a non-profit organization committed to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion with medical and humanitarian aid. Here is their website: www.sunflowerofpeace.com

You can get your image and sentiment here.
Marcella is also offering a larger print which is 8.5 X 11 for those that like to color
and may not be card makers.

Here is the card that I did for your inspiration.

I printed out the digital image and colored it with my Copic Markers choosing only the colors of the Ukrainian flag, Blue and Yellow. The die that I used is by Marianne and is called Anaja's Square.  I also used a Spellbinders circle die to cut the image and a slightly larger one to frame it before I placed it on the die-cut.

I used WOS on the vase.  If you squint your right eye, you can see it here.

The blog hop starts here

Double D Challenge - Pockets

These next two weeks at Double D Challenge, Diane is our hostess and she has picked POCKETS!
Just look at the mood board, will you? There is lots of inspiration here, but I was drawing a blank.
Mostly because I have limited stamps and dies here and none of them seemed to fit. So, I went to Pinterest for an idea.  I often do that when I am stuck. I found this video on a Pocket card. There are several out there, just put Pocket card in the banner on YouTube.

Here is the Pocket card that I made for this challenge.

I wish that you could see the sparkle on the front. Here s what I used.
After making the card according to the instructions, I used The Greetery Hoop Wreath die and stamp to decorate the front. My inks are Distressed ink in Iced Spruce and Fired Brick.
I cut the Hello from Honey Bee Buzz Words.
I used WOS on the Hello and some of the flowers, and glossy accents on the buds.
Lots of gold and red sequins from my stash.
This was fun and I will be making more of these.

Here is the prize for a random winner.

Guest for Color Hues

I am thrilled to join the team at Color Hues for this next challenge. There was a suggestion on Share Handmade Kindness to make a special card to show our support for Ukraine.  I am so sad to see these people suffering and hope that they will see our support in this small way.  You can make a card in the challenge colors that were already selected which are Green and Gold or to make a card using the Ukraine flag colors of Blue and Yellow

Here is my card in Blue and Yellow showing Ukraine's sunflower.

Supplies for this card are:
After smooshing some watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, I die
cut it with PinkFresh Radiating background.
The yellow card stock is Gina K Sweet Corn. ( it looks gold here)The heart is from
The Greetery Heart Leaf Pose Pocket.
I cut one side with yellow and the other with some of the blue smooshed paper.
The sunflower is from Altenew Seasonal Blooms stamped and die cut, then colored.
The leaves are from The Greetery Lovely Blossoms
and the sentiment is Gina K Designs Love and Prayers (old one)
This is certainly a collaboration of many companies to make this one card.
I am aslo entering this card in the current Mod Squad Challenge
This would be a fun challenge to enter for the next two weeks.
Be sure to see what all of the team has done for your inspiration.
Best wishes and please say a prayer for the people in Ukraine.
