We spend this weekend in the North woods of Wisconsin.  The weather was wonderful and the colors were spectacular!  Not at full color yet, but still breath taking.  I was inspired to make a card of the lake, as we had a beautiful scene from the windows of the house that we stayed in.  Thanks again Buddy and Bobbie for the great weekend.
So here is my attempt at capturing the colors reflecting on the lake.
I stamped this with the Northwoods stamp set from GKD.  The background is embossed with Tim Holtz folder that reminds me of the rays of the sun.  I sponged over that with Faded Brick from GKD and Purely Pomegranate from Stampin up.  A little gingham ribbon and button to finish.
This card will be entered in these Challenges.

One more post today and this will be for CASology #239 Autumn. What better way to describe autumn and with the changing of the leaves, but I had to make it simple. This is my card.

Timeless Tuesday #239, "Build it with Dots" is the challenge this week at Flourishes. I have really grown to love these very unique stamps. They are so detailed that you don't have to do much to them, but you have lots of options.
The technique is called Pointillism and it is, of course, new to me. So I chose my new stamp set from Flourished, called Garden Picks. I also have the die cuts for that set too and did use it on this card.
On a base of blue, I put celery green layer and then some DP in blue dots. I colored the peonies with Copics, and used a die cut to "pop" out. If you look closely at the vase, that is were I used the Pointillism for the water.

The challenge this week for JUGS #206 is the "grid" technique. So I thought I would give it a try, now that the football game is over and the Packers have a "win", I am happy. So lets get to it.
This was done with Flourishes stamp set, Autumn Blessings. I had a cuttlebug folder, Wicker Weave, and used that for my Grid. It was sponged with Distressed ink, Tea dye, and the Chrysanthemums from Flourishes were stamped in Sweet Mango from Gina K. I used an oval scallop die to cut out the center and then popped out the image which was colored with Copics. I have a cut file for the stack of wheat and put the sentiment on that. The wheat is pop out too. A little sakura glitter pen was used to give some "bling" to the tie around the wheat and the flowers. Hope you like it.

Wow! Today, Flourishes has announced a new challenge called Get in Shape. All you have to do is create a card that is not the usual rectangle shape. I had a spellbinder die that I wanted to use for some time and I pulled that out and combined it with a cut file on my cameo, to make the base of my card. I used the Autumn Blessings stamp set from Flourishes, and used the sentiment and the wheel barrow with pumpkins from that set. I colored the image with various Copics and pop it out on top of the different die cuts on the Majestic Elements Spellbinders set. I sponged the paper to make it look old. I like how the whole card looks. This is a different card for me.

Today it is warm here, but no sun as it is overcast and looks like rain. Good news, Hubby is on the way home and will be here soon. He has been gone for two weeks!
And....it is Football Sunday! Yeah! So I will get right to this post.
I have a card today that I am entering in two challenges.
The Dynamic Duo #69 Old Olive and Pacific Point.

and the other challenge is JUGS #205 Sketch

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/

Here is my entry for both of these creative sites.
I used my cameo for the border and the feather die cuts. Then stamped the sentiment from Gina K Designs, Stately Flowers 7. I heat embossed it with black. The olive is on a border of black and then onto a white base.

Thanks for looking and have a great football day!

I have another card to show you today. This is my first entry to the Flourishes Challenge. This one is simple, you just need to use two ribbons on your card. I just received two new Flourish stamps and they are so great to work with. Very detailed and this one was fun to color. I used craft card base and layered it with Edible Eggplant and Prickly Pear. I then die cut a Spellbinder (labels two) die, using a paper that looks like leather. After coloring the image with Copic markers, I used an oval die to cut and emboss that. Then I added the gingham ribbon on the side and a rustic twill holds the medal frame on the bottom with the "Happy" from that same set.

The Dynamic Duos challenge this week has the perfect colors for this stamp set from Gina K Designs. The colors are Perfect Plumb and a color of your choice. I got some new inks recently that will work, they are Edible Eggplant from Gina K. and the other color that I chose is Moonlit Fog. That color reminds me of the dusty looking grape leaves on the vine. I used the edible eggplant paper on a base of craft as my neutral. I also cut out a honeycomb with my cameo on craft paper and used some paper that I had that looks like leather from my stash. I just tore the edges of that. Here is what it looks. like.
