Stamp TV - Two challenges

I am sharing this card with you today and making a quick post.  I made this card with my practically brand new kit from Gina K Designs called Hearts and Flowers.  Her new kit is out and I realized that I had not even inked up the last one.
Here is my card
I stamped and die cut the vase of flowers and also the YOU from Gina's dies called You.
After coloring the flowers and using the swiss dot embossing folder on the top part of the card, I added score lines.  The You is die cut twice and then I applied Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to it.  It shows well in the photo.  I quickly added a matching envelope to this card.  It was easy as I just stamped the vase of flowers around the edge.
I will be entering this card in two of the challenges at Stamp TV.

Dies R Us - Lighthouse Scene

Hello card makers!  Barbara Campbell back today with another beach inspired card for you.  If you saw my card last week, you may have noticed that I cut some dies and I didn't use.  Well, here they are for you now.
This is another layered die from Elizabeth Craft.  See the solid layer and the outline?  I actually colored it after gluing it together.  That way I could do some shading to make the lighthouse look curved.
Elizabeth Craft Designs - LighthouseElizabeth Craft Lighthouse

I used some water colors on the sky and the water, using the brush to make the waves.  Next, I tore another piece of the sand beach and also used the watercolors for some texture.
Take a close look at the rock near the lighthouse, they are mushroom tops colored and shaded.  I think they make a great rock.  Then I just added the Shoreline Cattails and the sentiment to complete the scene. The sentiment is from Power Poppy Good thinking.

Here are the other dies that I used on this card.

Have some fun with your stamps and dies, I hope that I have inspired you today.

Dies R Us- Sea Shells

It's Barbara Campbell with you today showing a card inspired by the beautiful beaches here in Florida. I am having a lot of fun with these layering dies.  Yes, that is what I said.  I know that you have all heard of layering stamps..... well these are layering dies.  Here, let me show you by card.

I got the dies for this card a while ago and was not sure what I would be making.   So I just die cut them all from white water color paper.  I'm sure that I would be water coloring them.
After I selected the ones that I would use on my card, I saved the others for another time.  You will see them soon.
Coloring them was fun.
I left the top layer white in some cases and colored the crab and star fish.

I scored a piece of cardstock at half inches to look like wood and used distress ink to color it.  Then tore the edge and swiped more ink on the edge.  I got some  rugged looking wood.  That went on a white base card and I arranges my sea shells on the front.  I added some twine and a little tag and then the sentiment from Power Poppy Natural Beauties and Good Thinking.

Don't forget the inside.  Some scoreing on the left side and bottom and one more sea shell.

Here are the dies that I used.
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Shells Small

Elizabeth Craft Designs - Shells Large
Impression Obsession - Dies - Foliage

You will have as much fun this these dies as I did, I guarantee it.

February Power & Spark: Love to Sparkle!

I am going to make this quick as I made three cards today and I want to get them all posted.  This stamp set is one that I have had for awhile and this is the first time that I have used it.  I can see lots of different uses for it. The color scheme that I used is from Hues to Use.  I will be posting this card to that as well.

For the Power and Spark challenge, we needed to add Love or Sparkle.  I have a layer of silver which is actually a 6X6 washi tape.
For the Hues to Use, here are the colors.

Double D - Sequins - Exciting News!

I am so super excited to be the newest member of the Double D Challenge.  I love their mood boards and the challenges that they inspire.  When they asked me, I didn't need a second to say YES!
Now I am working with some very talented ladies on this team. Some new and some friends that I consider my BFFs!  Thank you so much.

Now on to the first challenge for me as a Design Team member.     Here is the mood board.

               Sequins

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyobf7kXlRaYJuRE0GtkKll_g9f4n4joiA0kdqqOfzTHVAw_hKGE_zxFNr0gV5jBPfUI2qAMFCvrNKU4uiNWQMjoP9ftu9U0zBKvp3k4JG9FI7jg2GvbTwPxlyIb4o36-Q68dQOxL7Gjc/s1600/ca+dd+2018+sequins.jpg

I just got a new stamp set form Gina K and it was perfect for this challenge.  It is called Emmy and Riley and they are Flamingos.  How amazing is that!  You can put sequins on anything.
Here is my card.
I masked off and stamped several of the flamingos to represent the team mates
that I will be working with.  The sentiment reflecks how I feel about joining their challenge.
I colored the birds and then cut my sequins in half so that they would fit on just one bird.  That's me!
Here is the prize!
Thanks for Stopping by, I will be looking for your creations on this challenge.  I love the comments that you leave, they really make my day.

Seize the Birthday - Candles

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.

Our "Topping" option this time around is...
"Candles"

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!
If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!

Here is my example for you.  Candles are a great option for a birthday card.
I made this birthday card for a friend that makes beautiful flower cards.  So I tried to add flowers to this card to impress her.  I hope that she finds this interesting.
You will be surprised at the dies that I used to create this card. The candles are the post box post from Die-namics, Mailbox.  The flames are really leaves from the Lily set.  See how you can make your dies go farther?  The three panels in the background were heat embossed with white using the Circle Doodle stamp and water colored with Metalic inks.  All of these were placed on a base of Turquoise Sea from Gina K.  The flowers on the bottom are Stampin Up Botanical Builder.  The sentiment is Simon Says It's Your Birthday.

Please leave a nice comment for our Surprise guest for January and February, Kristie Goulet https://kreativekristies.blogspot.com
