Double D Challenge - it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas

All in Red or White with an optional pop of green, that is the idea behind this gorgeous mood board.  See for yourself.

This board along with all of the teams fun designs have motivated me to get out card stock and play along.  I loved that hearts in the top left corner and that was what inspired my card.

I used a die that looked close to the hearts on the mood board.  It is from Simon Says Stamps and has a matching die.  It is called Roses for You.  I was also very anxious to use a new die that I got recently from Penny Black, Antique Frame.   I cut it three times and used foam tape between layers.  Then I wanted a pop of green so I searched out my IO Fern dies and added them to the front. For the hearts, I colored the bottom half of the heart with my red marker and added small dots with my white gell pen. A few snowflake sequins from my stash and it was done.

I decided not to all a sentiment on the front.  It may end up a Valentine card.  Never know! (wink)
I will be entering this one in the Double D Challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and leaving a comment.  I much appreciate it especially on this card.  You see I have brought my craft supplies with me to Florida and I can't find a thing!  It's a miracle that I got this one done, at 2 a.m.

Seize the Birthday - Monocromatic

Welcome to Seize the Birthday Challenge for November and the last challenge for us this year.  Remember that we take the month of December off.  This year has gone so fast, can't believe all of the things that has happened and that I have done.  Some new experiences and leanings.

But,  on with this challenge and Yes, we have a topping.

Our "Toppings" option this time is...
Monocromatic
I love doing monochromatic cards and usually think of blue.  Not sure why I do that, but for this challenge, I thought blue or more turquoise.
Here is my card for your inspiration.
I heat embossed this stamp called Bold and Blooming from Gina K Designs, in clear embossing powder on a panel of Ocean Mist Card stock.  Next I colored it with Copic marker BG01.  At this point, I didn't like what I had done, so I got out my Prismacolor pencils, and colored with the blue. Now I got something. The sentiment is from the same stamp set using GKD Ocean Mist ink. Adding the matching ribbon and jewels to the panel gave it some bling.  It was then adhered to a base of the same card stock.  I finished the inside with a little more ribbon.

We have a  Surprise Party Guest too.  Her name is Becca Cruger and you can see her blog here

Hope that you play along with us for this challenge.  I look forward to your creations each time and love to see them.  Thanks for stopping by and please check out what the other designers have done at

See you all next year!

Dies R Us Glitter and Gold

Today is Thanksgiving day and I want to wish you all a happy day with your family and friends.  I hope that you all have something to be thankful for, I know that I do.
Now on to the card that I have for you all today.

I like to have a special card that I like to give out at Christmas time, that looks like I took tons of time to make.  Our secret, this one didn't take much time at all and only two dies.
Please check out the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog for the instructions.

I'll let you get back to your turkey eating, but thanks so much for stopping by and I really appreciate your comments.
