Words to Inspire! That's the challenges this week at Flourishes. I immediately when to the new set that I got, when I won the November release. It is called Friendship and Flowers. I chose the flower and the sentiment from that set and stamped them on to patterned paper from WeR Memory Keepers. That layer was put onto a Kraft layer cut out from a Spellbinders die, Timeless Rectangle. The base is Asparagus CS from GKD. I tore the paper around the sentiment and sponged the edges and ten added the heart, covered in glossy accents.
I can't tell you how important family and friends are in this period of my journey. It was hard to pick a sentiment from this sets, as they are all so good.
So this year, I want to be a better friend to all. Listen better and be there in spirit and heart.
Here is my card.
This card will be entered in the Timeless Tuesday #250
Here is another card that I made just for fun.
CAS card with the snow falling on the telephone booth. I wanted to get some of the stamps that I liked "inky".
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.
I can't imagine how you could improve on being a better friend! xo~ Beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't either. Beautiful cards.....love them both. Love that beautiful flower on the word background and the snow falling on the little red phone booth....so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove these cards Barbara. Good luck with the challenge, that card is gorgeous. I think my favorite is the Merry Christmas phone booth. Absolutely love that. Great composition and such a fun stamp set. Have a wonderful day and weekend my "friend".
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! And what a wonderful goal for the year. Thanks so much for playing in the Flourishes challenge!!

Great cards and wonderful goal for the new year...but sounds like you don't have much room for improvement. Happy Holidays Barb!
ReplyDeleteLovely sentiment, lovely goal. We could all take a lesson from you. I love both your cards. The one with the phone booth just made me smile. Made me think of Dr. Who. Do you know that character? Did you use the Falling Snow stencil for the background? I really like the effect. I just got that stencil but haven't used it yet. Well done my dear!!
