Today's card will be entered in the Make it Monday at Papertrey Ink challenge. This was not an easy one for me. I am ok with what I got, but not crazy about it. Check out the the Challenge. It is called Pearlized blending. It can be quite gorgeous, so check out what the others have done to achieve the look.
Here is mine.
I went with the light colors of blue, pink and gray along with Perfect Pearls in white. I do like the "brushed" off background, and the look of the flowers "floating" in water. Sorry, I thought my picture would catch the shimmer.
Recipe:

Ink, Mama Elephant Winter, Memento London fog, Berry Sorbet, and Raspberry Fizz
Stamps, Brushed Off, Vintage Linens and Big Hugs by PTI

Thanks for checking out my post. I really do enjoy reading all of your comments if you care to leave one.
Beautiful watery sheen, Barbara! Looks as though those blooms are floating on the surface. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think this turned out beautiful Barbara! I love that background with the colors you used, and your flowers are just lovely! It is hard to photograph the sheen of perfect pearls, but I'm guessing in real life this card really shimmers! :0)
ReplyDeleteVery ethereal & beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love how soft your card looks, Barbara. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour card is soft and beautiful, Barbara! I love the brushed off background as well!! It's hard to capture the sheen in a photo isn't it? I struggled too. ;0) A beautiful card!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers, such a lovely design. I love the soft look your entire card has, very pretty! Your brushed off background is a lovely backdrop.....I don't think I have done this technique....you make it look easy and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love the background for the flowers. Love the embossed flowers and the big HUGS sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI think it is beautiful! Love the soft colors and I enjoyed seeing the way she did it too! So many new things to try it seems.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card! :
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, love your take on the challenge. I am so partial to white embossing a flower and then laying color over it. Great color palette, and those beautiful sequins delicately pick up the soft colors you have used. Really pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers do look as if they are floating, so mission accomplished! Lovely card! Enjoy your Sunday my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job, Barbara! It looks like those pretty flowers are floating in water. Lovely card!
