This is the picture that inspired me to make this card today. It is the Star of Bethlehem.

I went back to some older stamp sets from Flourishes and remembered the Star of Bethlehem that I had. I wanted to stamp it and color it, but needed to look up the flower first. That's when I found this picture and here is my take on it.
I ended up using my Distress markers and some water. Since I didn't start out with water color paper, I was very careful to use just enough to blend the colors. The base is PTI new color, Stormy Sea and then a layer of Christmas green from my stash. Across the top is a banner die cut from Spellbinder, A2 Bracket border one. The stamp set and sentiment are from Flourishes, no longer available.
Thanks for stopping by these busy days. I do appreciate that you do.

Beautiful. Love the blue background for the flowers. I have never seen this flower before but I love the look you got. I am going to bring out my bracket borders and make a card. How was the turkey soup?
