Challenge
This Weeks Sponsor is Gina K Designs
The challenge this week...is to use a bordered sentiment on your project. That sounds easy, right! So let's make it a bit harder. You may not use flowers. Think outside the box for this one.
You draw two lines on the front of your card and put your sentiment in between. Using a mask to cover up the sentiment, continue to decorate the front of the project. When you take off the mask, the border is there.
There are lots of you tube videos on bordered sentiments. I will include one here

My Cards
For my second card I used GKD Peace and Joy stamp set. Once again I scored above and below the sentiment. Then added a little shading for more texture. I have a start to my Christmas cards too.

My Cards
For this card I used GKD white and bubble gum pink card stock and the new stamp from GKD called Sophie Pig. Such a cute and fun stamp set to play with. After I did the border technique, I also scored lines on the back side of the card to give it more definition.

This is a fabulous technique, one I am eager to try....without flowers lol Love your creations, such a fun pink piggy birthday card--squeal!! And your gorgeous regal Red Cardinal--be still my heart! Such beauties! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove both cards. One is so cute and fun. Love how you stamped the squeal, cupcakes ans the adorable pig. the card with the cardinal is CAS elegant. What a fun challenge.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards even with no flowers. I am partial to the cardinal stamp and the pine bough takes the place of flowers nicely:-)
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful and interesting technique. No flowers....that's a hard one. Love, love, love the red cardinal!
ReplyDeleteWhy did I not comment on this??? I really LOVE the cardinal, beautifully colored and very simple with mostly white. Great challenge, and you did an awesome job choosing the winners. Oh, and that little piggy is the cutest too, love all the squeals!!!!
