Seize the Birthday - Stencils

It is time for another fun challenge at Seize the Birthday.
I'm sure we are all busy making Holiday cards this time of year.  Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Cards.  But, we still have those birthdays to remember the people in our lives.  Nice to have them on hand, to mail out as needed.
This month the topping is Stencil

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!
                                                               The choice is yours!
I used a stencil called Distressed Grid by Memory Box Sponged with a  dye ink from Mama Elephant, called Winter.   CS is Gina K in Turquoise Sea and Ocean Mist
Silver foil layer and watercolor paper from Canson XL
The stamp is Altenew Persian Motifs.  Stamped with Platinum EP and heat set, then colored with Distressed markers.
The sentiment is stamped on a strip of vellum.

Thanks for brightening my day with your comments.

  3. Ooooh I loved your stenciled grid and that floral-y aspect to the left, so pretty! The colors are great! In your 2nd photo you can really see the sheen of your embossed sentiment--again, so pretty! I adore that flower and of course instantly knew it was Altenew, gorgeous stamps!

  6. Gorgeous! Really honestly Barb! You sure know how to rock those Altenew stamps. The stenciled background really looks terrific and compliments the flower and doesn't distract from it! Lovely card! Your link wasn't working properly...but all fixed now! ;)

  10. Barbara this is gorgeous. I love how you embossed the flower in silver and then colored with markers. It layers so beautifully over the stenciled background.
