Check out how Lizzie makes her spinner card. She used a heart which is appropriate for the Valentine holiday, but I have made enough Valentine cards and was thinking in another direction. This is what I came up with.
Using the dies and stamps from the PTI set, Uncorked, I made this card, following Lizzie's instructions. The base is Dark Chocolate card stock with white layer on the top. I die cut the glass out of gold foil paper and also used that along the side of the white panel. I also used my much used, stitched rectangle and circle dies from Lil' Inker. This angle best shows the gold foil paper. That sentiment says it all.
I will be entering this in the Make it Monday challenge this week. Click on Lizzie's name to find that.
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a closer look and to leave a comment. They brighten by day.
I so enjoyed reading this post today! You had one piece of white and one shot...and you nailed it! Love the sentiment too! Such an incredible job!

ReplyDeleteBarbara, I can just imagine this gorgeous glass of wine spinning as the recipient opens the card. Fabulous! Always love seeing what you do with these challenges.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! I've never tried this before, but will add it to the list. lol My list is getting very long! Love the gold. It adds so much to your card. Very pretty card!
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS card Barbara and I'm so impressed that you did it with limited supplies! I can only imagine how cool that little wine glass looks when spinning around too! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove how you framed that glass of wine and all the white around withe the gold foil this would be good for a male of female. It is actually quite elegant. Of course, you had a sewing kit in your travel bag. Great card.
ReplyDeleteThe wine glass was a wonderful choice for this challenge, and not something I would have thought to use but it works really well! What a lovely card with all that gold!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for your spin card. I love the design and that is something I have never tried either. There seems to be so many things I still need to try in making cards. I think it is a never ending thing which is good as one can always find something to interest them.
ReplyDeleteThis is so stinkin' AWESOME!!! I think that using the wine glass is perfect, and I LOVE the greeting. How funny that you have to use thread from you little emergency kit. I bet when you stuck that in your purse you NEVER thought you would use the thread for that. I adore this card!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely brilliant! I can imagine that glass of wine spinning...even more so...maybe after a few glasses of wine! Wink!!
ReplyDeleteThe wine glass is such a fun spinner element and a gold one at that!
