Winter Wishes - Paperwhites

I could not help myself.  I have wanted to stamp and color this set for a long time and it just did not come up.  Until today and this challenge.  Can you guess what stamp set I am talking about?
It is the beautiful Glistening Paperwhites by Marcella of Power Poppy.  I remember, when it was first introduced, that one of Marcella's designers posted a tutorial about how to color white. That was where I went to see how to do this one. It was Christine Okken and I found it HERE
She shows several different ways to color white.  Luckily I had some of the colors that she used.  BV000, BV02 and G40 ( I used G43)

I am still into using frames for my background and I did that too on this card.  Here is what I used.
Poppy stamps die Festival Tags, Ocean Mist Card stock Gina K, Striped velum paper PTI,
There were two sentiments that I could have used on that set. This really extends my Christmas
stamps.

I will be adding this to the challenge this month at Power and Poppy called Winter Blooms.

Thanks for your comments that brighten my day.

  1. Barbara your card is awesome. So beautiful! I had to check out how to do white too! That was very helpful and hopefully, I can do a better job of whites. I did know that a darker color around lighter items makes them pop more. For instance, a moon would look more bright with the darker colors around it. I learned that when I did some scene stamping.
