It s time for another Challenge at Seize the Birthday!
Our toppings are Inlay Die Cuts
Of course if you are not a toppings kind of person,
just make it a birthday card.
Here is my example.
The ingredients:
Gina K Designs card stock in White
PTI die, What the Doodle Butterfly
Sparkle paper and scraps of colored paper
DieNamics Dies, Happy Trio and Stitched Rectangle Frame
Sentiment stamp, Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental.
Acetate.
I simply die cut HAPPY in the white panel and then cut it again in the color paper scraps. I then cut the letters apart and put them like puzzle pieces into the white. For the butterfly, I cut the circle out of sparkle paper, placed the butterfly die over the circle, where I wanted it and cut again. I then colored the circle blue with Zig markers and didn't like the results. So I added yellow to make the green sparkly that you see. I like that better.
Don't forget, we have a Special Party Guest too. Her name is Rahmat Goose and you will find her designs here. Check out what all of the other designers have done Seize the Birthday Challenge
Love the multicoloured happy! So striking with the all of the white.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card. That technique is one of my favorite things to do. Not too terribly hard, unless I pick something really detailed, and it looks really, really cool. I love how you have used different papers for the "HAPPY", and you also inlaid the butterfly in such a clever way. I also love the border die with the stitching. It looks fabulous with the white on white.
ReplyDeleteFantastic design and I love the inlaid sentiment with all those fun colors.
