Kitchen is the Heart

The challenge at Double D is Kitchen is the Heart of the Home.  Wow!  This was a tough one for me.  Seriously.  I had no stamps or dies that I could use for this challenge.  So I had a REAL challenge.  I remembered one die that I got a long time ago, and never used that had kitchen utensils, a placemat and palate. I pulled that one out and just looked at it for a long time.  Nothing came!  What to do?
When my daughter was little, we spent a lot of time on the kitchen baking.  We had many cookie cutters for the different holidays and had fun baking cupcakes.  My memories brought me some motivation.  I would have to alter some stamp sets, but that was possible.
                                                   Here is the mood board.

Remember, my card is the memories that I have of the kitchen being the heart of the home.
I finished the inside of the card with another stamp set, but only colored the cupcake.

I die cut the utensils to make a stencil and did my background with them using Stampin Up ink Crumb Cake. I used one of the spoons and the bowl die to add to the scene.  Colored them up with Spectrum Noir markers. ( getting used to them)  Next, I partially stamped the image from My Favorite Things, Crafty Things,  placed the bowl and the spoon in her hands.  This panel was placed on a Kraft and then a red card stock base. I had to finish the inside with another MFT stamp called Hello Cupcake.
As I said this was a real challenge.  Thanks Diane and Darlene and all of the design team for some inspiration.
I will be adding this to the challenge at Double D Challenge
