Creative Confetti - Keep Your Distance

It's another fun Tuesday at Creative Confetti and I am Barbara here to tell you about this week's challenge. By now we have all been practicing the social distancing for several months. As things start to relax a bit we still need to be aware of our hand washing and keeping our distance. So let's have some fun with that and practice distancing on our projects. What do I mean by that?

HOW TO PLAY:  Simply create a project that has several images on it.  You can have as many as you would like, but they should have space between them. and not be touching.  Why not practice keeping your distance on our projects?  We all need a little fun about now. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I had some digital fun creating my card.

On to my Creation!

For my card, I used the Perfect Poppy digital stamp set. I selected one of the flowers.  Then I erased some of the parts of the flower so that I could arrange them on my card front without touching the next one.

Perfect Poppies Digital Stamp Set

There are a lot of images on this set and I used the one on the lower right. After altering it, I placed three of them on my card.  I was also able to make some different sizes.
So easy to do with a digital stamp.

The sentiment is from this set and I hope that my humor is not lost here as I thought it was perfect for these times that we are surviving in.

I love my Copic markers and  I used these colors on this card.
Leaves are B24, YG97 YG93
Poppies are R27, YR09. YR02
Background are C1, C3, C5, C7

Both of these sets are on sale as I write this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Seize the Birthday - Food and Drink

Glenda is the host for this challenge and she has chosen an unusual title.

I had a stamp that I had not used yet and so I thought that I would give it a try. It is a new stamp company for me called Sunny Studios.  The stamp and die that I used is Fruit Cocktail. It is a layering stamp and makes real-looking images.  It also has an interactive die that I used with it.
Here is the card.

The colors of ink that I used are what I had on hand, but there are several different combos that will work.  Since there are three layers, I used three inks. I love how they turned out and I did three sets for future use. The sliding window die was worth the money as I can see several uses for it in my future.
Here is the pulled out view.
I heat embossed the Happy Birthday from Simon Says stamp on the front
and put a fun sentiment inside.

This card also opens so that you can add a nicer sentiment or note.

Don't forget to give Stef Perry some love too.

it had to be that soft pink that I remember so well.

Watercolor paper
Arteza Real Brush Pens
Crystals for my stash.

Seize the Heros

The design team has decided to put the birthday cards away and focus on making some cards for our HEROS.
That can be doctors, nurses, healthcare works, lab tech, scientist, teachers, grocery store employees.... some may people out there working to help us stay safe.
My card is for a special Nurse that I love and I know is working hard to protect others. I want her to know that I appreciate all of them. It was mailed already!

This card was made with the free digital stamp that was generously given by My Favorite things. Along with the sentiment.  I chose a different sentiment and it is from PTI Hugs stamp and die set. Die-cut the HUGS and hearts in red card stock and added Wink Of Stella and then Glossy accents.

Hope that you will join us in thanking all of the special people out there that are helping us get through this time.  I am sure that they will appreciate the thought.  We should let them know how we feel

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Seize the Birthday - Spring Fling

The toppings for this challenge Spring Fling!

Lindsey has challenged us to make Spring cards.  For me that means flowers.

But if you are not a toppings kind of personJust make it a birthday card and that will work too!
Here is my card for your inspiration.

Can you feel the spring on this card?  I just love poppies and this was my go-to stamp for this challenge. Spring flowers are so much fun to color and make cards.  I used the newer stamp from Gina K Designs called Vertical greetings and things.   Not only does it have poppies but fun vertical greetings that can be used on many cards.  I started with watercolor paper and my Arteza Real Brush pens in Cantlope, Apricot, and Orange. To define the flower petals I used a Prismacolor pencil in Vermillion.  For the foliage, the colors are Pea Green and Crockadile Green.

Next, I die cut the panel with Simon Says Die called Postage Stamp Edge die. That was layered in Sage green and a base of Asparagus from Gina K Designs.
The hardest part of this card was to add splashes of ink.  I can't tell you how many cards I have messed up with bog blobs.

Creative Confetti - Flowers for the Frontline

I am so happy to be hosting for Creative Confetti at this time as I have a challenge that is near and dear to my heart for you this time.

Whether you are at home self quarantining or still working. We are all doing our part during this crises. There is a lot of grief and uncertainty but there is goodness too in the world. That goodness will keep us together.  As a retired ER nurse my thoughts are with all of the doctors, nurses, and first responders who are on the frontlines taking care of the sick with courage and resolve.  They are the Heros.

For today's Creative Challenge I have chosen Flowers for the Front line.

HOW TO PLAY: Simply make a card with flowers on the front and a sentiment that shows how you feel about our Frontline.  It should be a thank you or an encouragement.
I will urge you to not only make a card but to send it off to your local Emergency Room Staff.  I will be mailing mine to my friends that are working long hours to help with this crises. Lets spread some goodness and make them feel valued and appreciated.

On to my Creation!

I used a digital stamp called Hummingbird Paradise.  It comes with or without a hummingbird.  I placed a sentiment in the middle from two different digital sets.  One is Flower Bomb and the other is Acorn Ornament. They fit nicely in the middle.  I printed it out with my laserjet printer which enabled me to use heat foil the sentiment.  The rest was colored with my Copic markers.

Here you can see the foiled sentiment

And now, Let's see you make Flowers for the FrontlineShare your creations by linking them up below. Every single entry will be in the running for a $25 gift card to the Power Poppy Shop!

Please stay safe and well, until next time.

Power Poppy - Fun Friday

Since we are sheltering in and have more time to create fun and interesting cards, here is one that I made this week for Fun Friday at Power Poppy.
I will get right to it.

I used spring colors on this one and the digital stamp called Bees in Foxglove
Colored it up with my Copics and some pencils too  Then fussy cut it out, yes I did! This originally was going to go in a watercolor paper background, but I ended up cutting out an oval that I liked from a section. I only used one of the branches of the foxglove.  With digital images, you can do that.

Fun close up of the card.  I sure hope that crafting makes you feel better like it does for me. It does take up time as well. Please stay safe and well.  Hugs to you all!
