Make It Monday #218: Watercolors With Die Cut Stencils

Make It Monday #218: Watercolors With Die Cut Stencils

This was a fun challenge and I am very happy with the outcome.  I recently have been playing with my new watercolor paints from Kuretake and I really love the pigment and the colors that you can get.  Click on the title above to see how Lexi Daily shows you how to do this technique.

Here is my card.
Click on this picture to enlarge it and you will be able to see the sparkles.  #lovemynewcamera

I use white and black card stock from Gina K Designs and a layer of water color paper.
I die cut the word Scatter from masking paper and used it as a mask to place my yellow paint over.  That did not work, it was pretty, but did not show up very well.  After thinking about it, I went back with another die cut stencil and put the orange over the top.  That was it.  I wish that you could see the Wink of Stella that sparkles all over the colors.  It is just like sunshine.
The die is from Shakers and Sprinkles, along with the word Sunshine.  The other, is from Phrase Play #11.

I love this technique and hope that I can incorporate in one of the challenges that I host.

Thanks so much for stopping in to take a look.  I do appreciate the comments that you leave.  They are my encouragement.
