I am hosting along with Cindy Horvath for the Mod Squad Challenge. The Challenge is pretty simple and I hope that you will join in. There are two sponsors and two prizes. If you use one of the sponsors products, you will get a second chance to win. Check it out Mod Squad Challenge
Here is my card.
I have used this stamp set of a cardinal before. He is so versatile and can be used all year around. Not just for winter. In this case, I also combined it with some other stamp sets to make a complete design. The branch is from Sweet Friends, and the fall leaves are from The simple Things. I also used a spellbinder border die along the side. For the leaves, I stamped in versa mark and then gold embossing powder. After heating, I water colored them with fall colors of green, orange and red. the leaves are fussy cut and attached with foam adhesive.
I would love to see how you use a bird on your project. I will be watching and commenting.
I love your card but I really love those gorgeous leaves. You sure created a beauty. I will have to see if I can join in the challenge as well.
ReplyDeleteI really, like REALLY love how you created your beautiful Fall leaves! They have all of the gorgeous colors we associate with Fall and the gold embossing looks awesome for their veins! That wordy background is fabulous but the STAR of the show is that glorious and I do mean GLORIOUS Red Cardinal!!! Be still my heart! <3
ReplyDeleteDonna is right, your leaves are stunning. I always love gold embossing with an image like this, but you have colored them beautifully!! And I really like the black detailing with the border. This is just a gorgeous card with that beautiful cardinal!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I like the leaves but the red cardinal really stands out nicely. Love your card.
