Celebration at Papertrey Ink 2014

This is was an easy choice for me as I am using one of the first stamps that I bought from Papertrey Ink. It is the beautiful Feather Finery.  That it is, in my opinion the best feather stamp in the market.  It is so elegant and bewitching.  It is a stamp alone stamp and it is just radiant in any color.
Here is Melissa's card and you can find it Here

                                                                        My card

A little better look at the gold embossing.

My card is just as simple, but was a mistake that I liked.  I stamped in Distress Ink Antique Linen, and then heat embossed with gold.  Well, I forgot that the Distressed ink held the old powder and I got a more gold feather that I wanted.  But, never fear, I re-stamped over the top the second layer of dots with Warm Cocoa, GKD ink.  I also used that for the sentiment and the dots that you see on the card.  Then I placed a row of dots all around the border with the help of a ruler.

Thanks for stopping by to see more.  I appreciate that you do and your comments.

  1. Beautifully done! I had to have that set too as soon as I saw it. My first set with PTI was Hands of Time. I loved the clocks and had not seen anything like it.

  2. I had to have this set too. I think it's the dots that really set this guy off. You really did an awesome job with this, love the gold and then the brown...nice combination!!! Well done!

  3. That is such a gorgeous feather stamp, you're correct, and it is so large, great for the entire front of a card. I think your mistake is a happy accident, looks beautiful! I adore that sentiment too, so uplifting and encouraging!

  4. What a beautiful card, Barb, and I agree...a great mistake that turned out even better. That happens so often! And I do agree that this is definitely a very lovely feather image. Beautifully finished with the dotted border! What fun it's been to see all the CASEs...yours is exquisite! Hugs!
