Dies R Us - Fancy Poinsettia

I really like using dies on my cards and I have been having a lot of fun during these months on the Dies R Us Team.  I'm  Barbara, and my teammates and I bring you inspiration every day.  I have a card for you today that I used just dies and one stamp for the sentiment.
This is the finished card, but here is how I did it.
I colored a piece of white card stock with my Copic R39 marker and then
die cut a lot of poinsettias.
I colored the center again with the same maker, to give the flower some dimension.
I also die cut some leaves and then colored them with YG 63 and YG 97 for some definition.
I cut two snowflakes from white sparkly card stock as well as a border called
Lovely Arched Loop Edge.
Then I arranged them on my card front until I liked what I saw.
I often do that before gluing down anything.
Tip: When die cutting, often it is difficult to get the paper out of the die.  I placed a sticky clear adhesive dot on my Big Shot.  After die cutting, just press the paper in the die to the dot and it "pops" out. You will need to reduce the stickiness of the dot at first.  Just touch it with your fingers until it is not so sticky. I saw this on an internet site and cannot remember where.

Dies R Us - Golden Snowflakes

I am still making those special Christmas cards for those special people in my life.  How about you?  I want people to remember that they got a special card from me.  Then they can say,
Oh, I got a Barbara Campbell card today.  LOl

This one will certainly bring a smile to your recipient's face.  It is easy to do.
Let me know you what I mean
First, here is the card that I made for you today.
Start with a card base, you will be working on the front of the card.  Pick out some dies, in the case, I used the square dies from Memory Box Basics. Arrange the dies on the front of the card anyway that you like.  This was how I did my card.

Next, die cut some different size snowflakes from gold shiny card stock.
Place the snowflakes on the back side of the front of the card.  Gold side down.  Glue in place. Cut off any part of the snowflake that overhangs the card.

Then cut a piece of matching cardstock, slightly smaller than the front and adhere to the back side of the card to conceal the snowflakes.
For the greeting on the front, I used the Poppystamps Spectular Joy die.  It has several layers and you can stack them as I have done below.  Only one layer of white and one of gold.
Here are the dies that I used on this card.

MSC - Non Traditional Christmas card

It is the last time for me to be a host at the Mod Squad Challenge.  I am stepping down to make room for other talented crafters to wow you with their challenges.  So I am going to just say fare well with a simple Christmas Challenge for you.
Just make a Christmas card with colors that you would not see usually on a Christmas card.  No Red, Green, Gold or Silver.
My example for you

On this card I used these supplies:
Power Poppy stamp, Poinsettia
Dies:  Frantic Stamper Elementals #16 Stitched Rectangle Frame
Card stock:  Gina K, Kraft and Berries and Vines, pattern paper.
Sentiment Die: Spellbinder Classic Frames and word window, and oval.
Copic markers:
BG000, BG10, BG72, BG75, BG78, BG96
R81, R83, R85
Silver gel pen, Wink of Stella
Sequins from my stash

I completed the inside with a strip of design paper and Kraft, and a large blue sequin.
Sure hope that you will have time to join us in the challenge this week.  Let's make my last one a huge success.
Thanks for you comments and Have a Joyous Holiday!

12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Power Poppy and the Bloom Brigade have a fantastic challenge for us this month.  Every day they bring a new craft to the blog.  Twelve Days of Christmas Challenge.

If you follow my blog, I have been busy today with two posts.  Yes, I could not sleep last night, so what better thing to do than a challenge.  I decided to so a gift bag as I will be needing many this year.  Daught is sending gifts here to Florida, as they will be joining us here for the holidays. I, of course offered to warp every last one of them.  (What was I thinking?)

Sorry, I digress.  Here is the gift bag that I made and decorated.
I was easy to do after watching how to make a bag from gift wrap.
I have a shiny gift wrap that is gold and has black and green plaid pattern in it. I added the green gemstones to the top and the Stitched Tunnel tag from Memory box.  The tag is stamped and colored using the new stamp set from Power Poppy called Under Glass.  The bow also works as a closing for this bag.  Fun, Fun Fun!

OK, I am done for today, but I think that I will be back for another day with this challenge.
Thanks fo stopping by, I love your comments.

Double D Challenge - it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas

All in Red or White with an optional pop of green, that is the idea behind this gorgeous mood board.  See for yourself.

This board along with all of the teams fun designs have motivated me to get out card stock and play along.  I loved that hearts in the top left corner and that was what inspired my card.

I used a die that looked close to the hearts on the mood board.  It is from Simon Says Stamps and has a matching die.  It is called Roses for You.  I was also very anxious to use a new die that I got recently from Penny Black, Antique Frame.   I cut it three times and used foam tape between layers.  Then I wanted a pop of green so I searched out my IO Fern dies and added them to the front. For the hearts, I colored the bottom half of the heart with my red marker and added small dots with my white gell pen. A few snowflake sequins from my stash and it was done.

I decided not to all a sentiment on the front.  It may end up a Valentine card.  Never know! (wink)
I will be entering this one in the Double D Challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and leaving a comment.  I much appreciate it especially on this card.  You see I have brought my craft supplies with me to Florida and I can't find a thing!  It's a miracle that I got this one done, at 2 a.m.
