This is the first time that I have entered the Challenge at Papertrey Ink. I ordered some of their products recently and just could not resist the Feather Finery. This is such a delicate and detailed stamp set that you don't have to do much to make a gorgeous card. It has three sizes of feathers and many sentiments.
For this card, I used a set of Gelatos that I have never used before, so this whole card is a first!
I just followed the easy instructions that were provided by Heather in her video. You can find that here. Give it a try, as I found it to be easy. I stamped the largest feather using orange and pink from my Gelatos and then stamped twice. I restamped with the detailed stamp in the kit, using the gold Gelato.
This was done on watercolor paper and then adhered to two shades of orange from my stash. Not sure what it is, but probably Stampin UP. Last, is the die cut that I have had from Christmas. The word JOY was cut out from orange paper and I used Wink of Stella on it. The whole card sparkles.
Thanks for stopping by, and again, I do appreciate it when you leave a comment.

Mod Squad - Challenge Part 2
It looks like linky would not take two cards on one post.....so I made part 2.
I'm back with my second card!
This is my favorite one, I was so tired on the first card, that my MoJo had not returned. LOL!
Here is what I used on this one.
Kraft, Warm cocoa, cherry Red CS all from Gina K. Designs
Large dot embossing folder
DP from my sash
Lacy Oval and Oval dies Spellbinders
Martha Stewart punch around
Digi that was free, Happy Birthday from Clearly Besotted
Baker's twine
Red Stickles and Red embossing powder
Copics
Loved having the family from Minnesota here, and it was a great visit. The kids are older now and enjoy sitting in on the adult conversation at times. Granddaughter Annie and I went shopping and we all went to see how Maple Syrup was collected and boiled down for syrup. We ate lots of delicious
meals, but I am so tired now, if I fell down, I would just keep on rolling! Ha!
Thanks for stopping! It sure feels good to be back in the craft room.
Seize the Birthday, Anything Goes with toppings of Buttons and Rhinestones
My sister needed a special card for an old friend that was celebrating her 70th Birthday this week. Since she worked with her while selling woven baskets, that is what she wanted on the card. I had the perfect stamp for that and went to town on this card.
I started with an embossing folder called Wicker Weave on white CS. Then I colored the basket by Gina K. Designs with Copic markers, and fuzzy cut it out. The handles move and are attached with brads. The violets in the basket are a design by Marcella Hawley. Love her work and she is taking off on a new business this week. The sneak peaks look too awesome. Then I added the black gingham ribbon to a birthday tag on the top. Lastly the black Rhinestones are scattered for the toppings.
Thanks for stopping and you know that I love to see you visit here.

Mod Squad Challenge Cut It Out!
I know, I said I would not post again for a few days, but.....
I had these papers, from my last card, laying on my desk and wanted to use the color scheme again. Since it had yellow in it, I again was looking through my older stamp set and came across the perfect one to use. I will call this card, that I am entering in the Mod Squad challenge Cut it Out,
Just Buzzing Bye. That is the name of the stamp set from Stampin Up.
Here it is

Seize the Sketch #16
This is the sketch for this week at Seize the Sketch. It is so easy when you have the layout for you all ready. This card came together for me rather easily as I had a stamp set in mind to use. The colors that I used are Navy, Sweet Corn and Tomato Soup all from Gina K Designs.
The stamp set is from Newton's Nook and it is called Just Say Cheese. Now, being that I live in Wisconsin, I thought I could really use that set a lot. I plan on turning this card into a birthday card for a male. I'm not sure yet who will get it.
I promise that this is my last post for a few days. Maybe!
Simon Says Monday Challenge - Lucky and Make It Monday #156: 3D Stamp Paint Techniques
Simon Says Monday Challenge - Lucky
I got this cute little lucky Fairy from Tiddly Inks this week. After printing her out, as she is a digi, I colored her with copic markers. Good practice here on hair. I made her into a tag and just added a bunch of elements. I worked on this for a few days, adding and adding. The feather is from PTI and I made the buttons from pony beads that are melted in the oven. I like how this one turned out.
Thanks, as always for stopping and I do appreciate your comments.

Next is a card that I made for Make It Monday #156: 3D Stamp Paint Techniques
This one was a little harder, as I did not have the paint that was used, but I mixed up something with the help of You Tube. I had an embossing folder that was metal and I painted that and then ran it thru the die machine. I got a raised texture for the background that I liked.
Then I added a panel that I dry embossed with cane back folder and sponged it. The paper colors are Sweet Corn and a Green from my stash. The stamp set is Papertrey Ink Delightful Dahlia Additions.
After stamping the dahlia and fussy cutting it out, I adhered it with foam squares, to that panel. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed with black on vellum, and there is a button hiding the glue. I think I would need to practice more on this technique.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Farm Fresh
Good Morning! It is raining here, but it is 40 degrees and that is warm. A perfect day to craft, and go out for lunch. I am so excited that my daughter-in-law, Lindsey, is coming today from Winneconne Wis. She is the manager of the Tommy Hilfiger store there. We recently had a fire at my grandkids school, making it necessary for them to go to another school for the rest of the year. They lost everything in the school. Lindsey is bringing down loads of stuff that was collected at her store to donate for the school. :)
Back to the Challenge!
My friend Sharyn did a card for this challenge, and I was thinking about what I would do for the Farm Fresh theme. I came up with this simple card. But it took a lot of thought.
There is my card!
Back to the Challenge!
My friend Sharyn did a card for this challenge, and I was thinking about what I would do for the Farm Fresh theme. I came up with this simple card. But it took a lot of thought.
There is my card!
Here is what I used:
- Moonlit Fog, Cherry Red, and Ivory CS, Gina K
- DP from my stash
- Lockhart apple basket stamp ( going through my old stamps )
- Newton's Nook Love a la Carte pie stamp
- Bandana ribbon from my stash
- Crystal Effects on the apples.
I did not have a stamp that said what I wanted to say, so I printed it out on my computer and hand traced it on my card where I wanted it. I don't trust my own hand writing.
Off to get ready for that lunch that I told you about!
Thanks, as always for stopping by, and if you leave a comment.......
you are the upper crust, in my mind!

Just US Girls #232 Color
It is a very bright sunny day out today. So, I did a spring cleaning in my craft room. With every thing in it's place and all clean, well......what do you think? Yeah, I got inspired to mess it up again. Not so bad this time. I had some new stamp sets that I wanted to use and time on my hands. Did I tell you that I love retirement?
JUGS is having a color challenge this week. To match these colors, I used a Dew Drop ink called Sky Blue, Menento, Pear Tart, and GinaK, Sweet Corn.
Since recently reviewing the techniques on STV, I did one that I had not done in awhile. It is called inking a cuttlebug folder. Just click to see how Gina does it.
Here is my receipe:
Gina K CS... White heavy weight, Sweet Corn, Green Apple
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight
Papertrey Ink stamp set Feather Finery and Wreath for all seasons
As always, I really love the comments, so thank you very much.

Tag......You're It! and Just Us Girls #231 - Technique
Wow! Two of my friends are hosting challenges this week. I am so lucky to know them and share crafty news with them, how could I not participate! They have helped me to grow so much in this last year. I love the fellowship that we have because of our love of paper crafting. It has opened a new and exciting world for me. Ok, enough, On to the card. Yes I said card, as I made one for the two challenges. Hehe!
The Mod Squad Challenge is Tag....Your it! Just put a tag on it.
The challenge at JUGs is Technique and Sharyn chose.......Weathered Wood.
This card was fun in, that I used a lot to get the shabby look that I was going for.
Some of the effects are pieces that I had left over from experimenting with techniques. Like the emboss resist butterfly, with spray shine. Don't you love it when you can do that?

Seize the Sketch #15
I was going through a book of old stamp sets and came across this one from Stampin Up. I loved it then, but have not used it much. I still love it and I am using it for this challenge at Seize the Sketch.
We can do anything with the sketch, just have fun with it. That I did! I used some DP from WeR memory keepers and Echo Park for the BG. Colored the image of herbs with copics. I hung the sign, also from that set, with some twine. I am pleased with how this came together. Sometimes, they just do!
So please have a great day and keep crafting.

Spring Palette Challenge Mod Squad challenge
Spring is not quite here yet in this part of the country, but the challenge this week is to do a spring palette. There were lots of colors to choose from and I choose these.
The stamp set of GKD, A Year of Flowers 2. I used copics to color them pink. The banner on the bottom is embossed and then I added some punched flowers that I curled to make them stand out. The greeting is from Tag Lines, also GDK.
Have a great day!

Thinking Spring and Green!
This cute little guy is Newton and he is from the stamp set Newton's Birthday Bash by Newton's Nook. This is the first time I have used him and I just love that he s floating on that balloon up up and away! Here he is!
I will be entering this card in the Mod Squad challenge, Thinking of Spring, and in the Inky Paws challenge #7 Go Green!
The card base is Apple Green and the white layer is Tim Holtz water color paper. I used that because I wanted to do water color in the BG. Next I used distressed inks, Evergreen Bough and Bundled Sage. Smeared them on my craft mat and sprayed with water, then place the paper on top. That had to be dried well before adding some GKD Green Grass and Memento Pear Tart, which I sponged on. I wanted more green. I used a stencil for the panel with the stars. Newton is stamped and fussy cut and the balloon is paper pieced. I put some glue on the baker's twine and formed the curls, something new that I learned with week. Newton is adhered with foam squares, and so is the banner on the bottom. I am very pleased with how this one turned out. I have my favorites you know.

Mod Squad THINKING OF SPRING 2.0
Yes, this is another post today for the Mod Squad. As the snow is falling outside, I am happy to be inside making happy thought cards. This is a digital image and she is called Ellie. My granddaughter is Eliza and for short, we call her Ellie. So that is how I colored her. This could be her birthday card for her next birthday, she will be 8 years old. Anyway, it does look like a spring card. Isn't she just the cutest thing? Cuter than the Easter Bunny!
After I colored her with copics, I decided to fussy cut her out. I used CS from Petals and wings, GKD's paper. The green layer is embossed with Anna Griffin, Matelasse folder. I cut a border with my Memory Box called Cherish Border. I added a gingham ribbon in black, and some black swirls of crystals around the hearts that were out cuts from the border.
Just a note! She does look like she is standing on ice, that was not my intention, but......with the weather that we have had this winter...it is a possibility.
HERE SHE IS!
Thanks for looking and Good Night. We have reservations for dinner
and I need to get ready.

THINKING OF SPRING 2.0 Mod Squad challenge
Here is another Spring card. I am really looking forward to Spring. It snowed again last night, and it is forecast to snow again today and tomorrow. Oh, and let's not forget the drop in temp too. Yipee!
When I was working in the Emergency Room, and a person came in depressed and carried their suitcase with them, (because they were sure they would be admitted), we called it a positive Samsonite sign! Just a little humor, but I am getting there. Help! So I continue to make spring like cards for therapy. It helps!
This is the card that I made for the Mod Squad challenge, Thinking of Spring.
Here is what I used on this card.
GKD heavy base CS in White
Washi tape
Color Shine in chartreuse ( it is a spray on sparkly ink)
GKD layering CS in Fresh asparagus
Classic frames die from Flourishes, and Fancy Tags two (just the scrolls)
Images are from GKD Stampers Favorites
Perfect Pearls for the humming bird
Copics for the flower
Wink of Stella clear
Greeting is from GDK Vogue Vases
I don't think the picture does this justice, as it is much shinier in real life. I really like the Color Shine spray and I went back to buy all of the other that were on sale at HL.
So, keep your chin up, SPRING is coming!!!
