STB challenge - Kraft and one other color

Colleen is our host for this next challenge in January and she has decided on Kraft and one other color. 

I have chosen the color red. 

If you want to join us for this challenge, you can do the topping or not. Just make sure it is a birthday card.

Surprise Part Guest 

For this card, I used a digital image that was free from Kit and Clowder. He is too cute even when iI altered him a bit and took out the flower that he is holding. I colored him up with cool gray and red Copic makers. The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug (hearts) and I also embossing the hearts from the same folder using read foil paper. Then I cut out a few for added decorations.

Color Hues - Copper and Green

I am entering this card in the current Color Hues Challenge. The colors are Copper and Green. 

This card came about as I looked into my pile of backgrounds that I did early this year. 

AS you can see, I used Gina K Poly-glaze stencil mates. It is the one on the left. The one on the right is the negative of that stencil. The foil looks like copper.  After foiling, I used the matching stencil to color the leaves in a brown tone. But I didn't want to use the entire background, as I had some other ideas for this card. I fuzzy cut out a few of the leaves. 

Other supplies are Gina K Grass Green card stock, Spellbinders essential oval die. Poppy stamps Pointy Lattice Plate.  Honey Bee Buzz Words for the sentiment cut in Copper foil. 

Because it is so hard to photograph shine, I did a video.

There is white glitter all over this card, too bad it does not photograph well.

STB - Wet or Dry Embossing

Cathy is our host for this new challenge of 2024! 

She has decided that we should emboss our projects. 

If you use our topping, you have a chance to be a guest designer.

 I love to see what you can do with this topping. 

Of course, you can just make a birthday card too. 

Here is my card. 

For this card I used the sweet Dancing Gingerbread dies 

from spellbinder. 

The base is kraft card stock, then a layer of ivory and then vellum 

from Gina K 

My gingerbread girl in in the middle surrounded by lots of die cut leaves and pine branches from some of my other dies.  

For each of the branches, I coated them with Veramark and then heat set white embossing power to look like snow.

Two Challenge at once!

I am doing something that I rarely do and that is to enter two challenges with one card. 

I am entering the Color Hues with the Light blue and Navy colors 

And the very new challenge called Word Power 

 

Here is my card! 

Photography is hard as the first picture that I took  was trashed. 

This one is a bit better. 

Supplies are:

In the Navy  for the base, the cover die is light blue  and white for the bottom panel I cut the hello by Poppy stamps and the cover plate is Amazon. 

All cardstock is Gina K Designs 

The flowers on the bottom are Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms.
