Seize the Birthday - Ocean Colors, Blue, Green and Aqua

Are you ready for another challenge at Seize the Birthday?  I sure hope that you join us for this challenge.

"Ocean Colors " Blue, Green and Aqua

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!
  The choice is yours!
I went for the toppings this challenge and used my Distressed Oxides in Peeled Paint, Broken China and Faded Jeans to make a background.  This inks are amazing and react with water and blend very well.  After making the panel, I die cut a Four Way Chevron die from My Favorite Things. I took out some of the chevrons and placed it on a base of Blueberry Sky card stock from PaperTrey Ink.
The banner on the top, and the swirl on the bottom are a die from Memory Box called Banner Parade and I used some letters from My Favorite things die.  It was a freebie and the letters fit perfectly on the banner.
The Birthday die is from Simon Says and I used this often on my birthday cards. I finished with some Wink Of Stella clear, and stickles on the stars.

Those saved chevrons work well on the inside too.

We have a new Special Party Guest, her name is Lindsey and you can see her blog Here!

Dies R Us - Arched Loop

Hello, and welcome today.  It's Barbara and I have a card for your inspiration.  I purchased this lovely border die, but decided to use it as a main focal point on this card.  Here is what I mean.
I just cut this die twice to make a lattice background for my flowers to be displayed on.

On the base of black card stock, I place a frame from the Frantic Stamper Stitched Rectangle Frame. Then I place the lattice white piece on top of that.  It gave me a nice background to place the flowers that I die cut from Penny Black, Gaiety.  The flowers are colored with copic makers and I added some black detail with my black copic pen.  I thought it need some bling, so I added a few sequins from my stash.
I am really trying to finish the inside of each card that I make, but leave the sentiment for later.  This was easy, as I just die cut another flower and colored it lighter than the ones on the front.

Here are the dies that I used for this card.  You can purchase them at the Dies R Us store.

Dies R Us Silve and White

Hello again! Back on the Dies R Us blog with with card.
Here is my card

I started with White and Silver foil card stock.  I have a base of white, then a layer of silver and then more white. On the top white layer, I laid the dies a little wonky.  Like this.

After that was die cut, I put it on the silver layer, so that it was peeking through. Then I just added the swirls and the circles in a way that I liked.  this really came together quickly and I think it could even made in to a Christmas card.
I finished the inside too, keeping the same design.

You can see all of the dies that I used to make this card Here

This can be made into a Christmas card very easily by changing the greeting.
Thanks for stopping in and i love your comments.

Seize the Birthday - No Toppings

Has is been two weeks already?  Boy, this summer is really flying by.  We have been traveling and I have the grand kids every Thursday.  That makes for a busy summer.  We have had some nice weather to enjoy the outdoors as well.

For the challenge this week, there are No Toppings.  Just remember to make it a Birthday card.
Here is my example.  I saw this done  by Teresa Calvert, this is my take on her card.

For this card, I used the Altenew stamp, Bamboo Rose.  Colored with copic markers in  BG72, BG75, BG78 ,BG96.  The EF is Darice Wire Fence.   Spellbinder large scalloped rectangle die. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Greetings and it was stamped on Avery Elle build a banner die.
Once again, I finished the inside with a panel of blue and white.  I added some sequins from my stash, as well. Don't forget to take a look at what the other designers have done for this challenge
at Seize the Birthday.
Our Party Guest,  is Lindsey and you will find her blog Here.    Her blog title is Bashful Blogging, but she is anything, but bashful.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your comments, they do brighten my day.

Dies R Us Watering Can

On the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today! I have a fun shaker card to inspire you for your card making.  You can make this a shaker card as I did, or just a card without the shaker window.  It's your choice and your creation.
To make this card I started with a Swiss Dot embossing folder on white card stock.  Then I die cut the watering can and the mushrooms and leaves.  After I figured out where I wanted the watering can to be on my card, I used my exact o knife to cut a triangle in the panel, just under the spout.  I put two layers on fun foam on the back of this panel and then added my sequins and beads for my shaker.  The whole panel was then added to the base card.  Next I arranged the mushrooms and leaves that I had die cut and colored previously.  I think mushrooms need water too!  Anyway, they look like they do.  I drew in some green grass for the mushrooms to rest in and anchor them in the scene.
Here are the dies that I used.

I used a die for the watering can that I had, it is similar to this one from Frantic Stamper
