Here are the  supplies for this card:
Card stock Gina K white cut into a 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 squard card base.
Dies are Elizabeth Craft Lovebirds and Frantic Stamper
Square Tangled Frames
Sentiment is from Gina K Designs Birthday Greetings.
I sponged some Spiced Marmalade ink on the front and then
place the die that I colored with more distress ink in blue and green.
I die cut the tangled frames twice and cut themapart to use on corners.
I really like how this turned out.  Don't forget the inside, it is important too.

Dies R Us - Tag Book Card

I recently purchased a new die.  I had seen it used before and decided to buy it.  I sure wish that I had done that sooner, as I found this brand of die and the instructions  to be fantastic. I am talking about the Karen Burniston dies that are offered at the Dies R Us Store.
Here is my take on this tag book.
It looks like a tag, but if you open it up, this is the inside.
This tag book has been done horizontally, but I used it vertically.
I die cut evey die in the set and used them all.
I placed the tag die over some flowered pattern paper also available at the DRU store.
I fussy cut the flowers that I wanted to use for the front, and glued them to the black polk a dot paper.
Take a close look at the additional die cuts inside.  Most of the are from the same set.  You get so many to use and I used them all. I used the sentiment on the front and the inside too. See all of the little squares and borders that you an used to decorate your project?  Even the paper clips and the banner flags are included. Check out the instructions for any of the Karen Burniston  dies.

Double D Challenge - Just Wing It!

It is that time again!  Another fabulous mood board for your inspiration at Double D Challenge.  It is team Darlene presenting this one.  Take a look at what they have done to get you started, and then don't forget to see what team Diane has crafted as well.

Here is the Prize!

OK and here is the second card that I made for this challenge.  Not showing the first one as I missed the boat with the inspiration board.  Happens sometimes, I will just keep it for another time. Tee hee!

I pulled out the Paper Trey Ink stamp and matching dye set called Feather Finery and used that for this card.  With the help of  Crumb Cake and Spiced Marmalade inks I stamped it.  Do you see a technique here, that has been out there on the Internet for us crafty people?  No, well let me tell you.
I did the wreath technique that Gina K has shown us recently.  Look at the background square panel.  I just used small stamps from this set along, with the dots for the smaller feather.  Colored the hearts with the Spiced Marmalade ink and here it is for you.  A few drops of gold Nuvo drops on the feathers and it is done.  I layered a lot of panels on the base and then the square one is popped up with foam tape.
Seriously, you should check out what the other team has done with this mood board.  Lots of fun and a prize too.

Power and Spark Challenge

Just make a card inspired by fabric, that's all.  Well I don't have any fabric I said to myself.  Then I read just a little further and saw that Ally Cope found her inspiration on Pinterest.  So off I went looking and and found this inspriation.
Aquas and Oranges in Honeysweet by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics
Look at all of the lovely oranges and light green/blue. and a touch of bright pink.  I used them all on this digital image from Power Poppy, and It is an
Easter card too.  Just what I needed.

Fun to added color and shade and blend them.  Here is a closer look at the flower.  I am taking the Kit and Clower classes, and have found them to be very helpful.
I am entering this in the Power and Spark Challenge for this month. You can find inspiration every where.
Thanks for stopping by and I do appreciate your comments always.

Seize the Birthday - Teal and White!

I made a card for a special person's birthday.  Her favorite color is Teal. When I looked at the toppings for Seize the Birthday for March 15th. I was very happy to see that it fit the bill.  So I am writing up this post in advance.  By now, my card will be sent out and the recipient will have gotten her special card.

Our "Toppings" option this time is...
"Teal and White"

Here is my card.
I am trying new ways to photograph my cards.  This is just one of the props that I am using.
Here is a more conventional view
For this card, I used these stamp sets from Gina K Designs.  Bold Blooms and Bold and Blooming for the sentiment. White cardstock from Gina K.  Die is Frantic Stamper Lattice Beauty Edger.  Clear embossing powder and distress inks to color the flower.  Some sequins and clear drops from Kat Scrappiness.
Don't forget to finish the inside too.  A little more stamping and some scoring will do.

Our Surprise Party Quest is Kimberly Lackenbach and you can find here lovely creations for inspiration at Kims cards & Crafts.

And see what the design team has done for your inspiration  I hope that you will play along with us.

Carats and Carrots, are not the same!

I thought that since Easter is coming soon, I would make an Easter card for today's inspiration.  No not just a card, a funny one. I hope that you get a chuckle from it too.

Just look at the expression on that bunny's face.  I think he knows that he messed up.
I started by die cutting the bunny and carrots and carrot tops from Fun Foam.
Yes, that is not card stock.  It gave more texture to the bunny and I just kept on going with that.
This is a top folding card that was put onto a base of pink.  I rounded the bottom corners of the
card and base with my corner rounder. The sentiment is computer generated.
Don't forget to do something on the inside too.  A few more dies cuts and it makes it special.
Here are the dies that I used for the card.
Lawn Fawn - How You Bean? Dies  How you bean

It is not too early to make those Easter cards.  These dies will be very popular.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have some fun with these die sets like  I did!

Flower Challenge Anything Goes #18

Here I am again with another card for the Flower Challenge #18 anything goes.
Yes, It is another Sympathy card.  I have been needing those too much lately.  I hope that they will bring a little bit of comfort.

                                            http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/

Here is my card for this challenge.

This is a digital stamp that was a free one from the Kit and Clower class that I am taking.  It is a lot of fun to learn how to add depth and dimension to an image. This one was colored with my Spectrum Noir markers and added to a panel that I dry embossed.   Just circle die cuts for the sentiment, and a matching envelope to complete it.
Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy!

                                                  http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/

I used the stamp from Penny Black, Lustrous.  I then used some water color to enhance the flower and background.  Thanks for taking a look.  I will be entering this in the Flower Challenge above.

Hues to Use

When I started coloring this Blossoming Cherry digital stamp,I as not thinking of the Hues to Use.  I just wanted to do something different as I recently colored with pinks.  Which, if course Cherry blossoms usually are.  I had heard about the classes at Kit and Clower and signed up.  This was my practice sheet.  Well, not the first practice sheet, but it turned out too good not to make into a card.  You can imagine my surprise when I saw the colors on the Hues to Use.
The instructions and video's are so easy to follow and once I got my Spectrum Noir markers organized by color, I was so much easier and I have more respect  for them now.

See for yourself!

I used the ditial stamp Blossoming Cherry and made it bigger, easier to color that way. The die is Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped Rectangles and the word die is from DieNamics. I cut the words twice in dark brown and layered them so that they have lots of dimension.
This was very rewarding and I can't wait for the classes to color hair and faces.

Think about joining in the Hues to Use, if you do, you could be a quest hostess.
I am also entering this card in the Flower Challange #18 anything goes. \

Thanks for stopping by, I love and appreciate your comments.
