Seize the Birthday - Sentiment as focal image

We have a new challenge for you these two weeks.  As you can see above the sentiment should be the focal image.  But if you are not a toppings kind of person, just make it a birthday card.

I actually made a couple of cards for this challenge. You are not going to see the other one, as I didn't like it.  It may show up in another challenge after I fix it.  For now, this is my card.

I had printed out a digital stamp some time ago and decided to use it for this birthday card.  It is the Power Poppy Cuppa Cupcake.
Cuppa Cupcake Digital Stamp Set
Then I stamped the sentiment from another set called Short stacks.
I put two together to make this one.

I colored the image with Copic markers and layered on to some design paper from
 My Favorite Things.

Don't forget to see what the rest of the design team has for your motivation.  You can find it Here
Thanks for stopping in and for your comments.  They make me happy.

Good Vibe Friday - Power Poppy

It's Friday! Ready for some Good Vibes?

We will soon be showing you a new Friday post, but until then I will continue to call it
Good Vibe Friday.

Most of you that follow my blog know that I love my Copic markers and used them often.  Lately, I am trying to branch out and have combined my Copic with Prismacolor pencils and just using the pencils by themselves. I recently bought some Arteza watercolor markers. Today I am showing you a card that I colored with those markers.  I even took it one step further and did no-line coloring.
Here is the card
I was very pleased with how this one turned out.  To make this card, here is what I used.

Fresh Digi Release today February 15th.

In Marcella's words
Hello my friends ~ and welcome to our first Instant Garden introduction of 2020. The TWO digital downloads we are ushering in today made a brief appearance last year as the subjects of a coloring class with Kit & Clowder. And now I’m happy to make them available to everrrrrrybody!

There are so many amazing expressions of this digital release.  You really need to see them,  (HERE)  I am so honored to be one of the Instant Gardeners this year.
  Here is my card.

This digital image had a dragonfly over the turquoise jewel.  I thought that coloring the jewel would be enough of a challenge for me so I removed the dragonfly and hand drew in the missing parts. Marcy quickly made one available for you.  HERE
It doesn't stop here, look at the other view slightly different and you get both of them.  If I can do this, so can you.  Just kick it up a notch!

There is another digital release for you today it is called Time to Fly  An amazingly different image that you will love.  See how the team has colored it.

Thanks for stopping to take another look today. Your comments are appreciated.

Seize The Birthday - Show me your white Space

It was my turn to choose the toppings for this challenge.
Before I tell you about our topping for this challenge, a little information on WHITE SPACE.

The idea of white space doesn’t refer to a primarily white card (though often, as is the case,  but rather, the idea of leaving a significant portion of your design open, free from embellishment, allowing your focal point to truly shine.
(Taken from MFT Summer School 2018)

The toppings for this challenge White Space

But if you are not a toppings kind of personJust make it a birthday card and that will work too!
Here is my card for your inspiration.

Supplies for this card:  Prismacolor pencils
Power Poppy Spring Meadow Bouquet digital stamp
Distressed Oxide ink in Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar
The sentiment is Sketched Flowers by Simon Says

Double D - HEARTS

It's February, and you will not be surprised that our theme is HEARTS
Here is the inspiration board for you. Team Diane is up this time.

Take a look at the bottom left section, as that is where I went for my inspiration.
Without further ado here it is.
I was drawn to the patterns on the puffy hearts and thought I would start there. I stamped the Leaves and Berries background stamp from Simon Says on white paper with Distress ink in Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac.  Then die cut the hearts in different sized from Die-Namics Stitched Hearts. The panel on the front is dry embossed with a folder from Darci called Wire Fence.  I added a banner that I colored with the Shaded Lilac ink. My white string was also colored with the same ink. This could be a Valentine's card or not.

Of course, there is a prize for a random winner.

Remember you all have a chance at the random pick! It's all fun.  Be sure to check out the blog to see more inspiration.  It is all so original

Thanks for stopping in, Love your comments.

Creative Confetti : Anything But a Heart

Hello!  I am so happy to be here on this challenge for you.  Can you believe that it is February?  It was a busy month in January and now we are looking at Valentine's month. Certainly, crafty people think of it that way. That made me think of a challenge for you. I know that we all think of Valentine's cards with hearts, and I want you to think outside the box for this challenge.  Let us see if you can make something without a heart.

My Challenge is to make a Valentine card, you are to use no hearts.

You can do anything but a heart.

HOW TO PLAY:  Make a card, you should be able to recognize it as a valentine, but use something other than a heart.  I can think of lots of things that you can find in the Power Poppy shop.  Cherries, berries, red poppies, red roses or any flower.  Use your Valentine colors or any color that makes you think Valentine.

On to my creation!

I chose the strawberries from the digital set called Cherries and Berries Just by using red and a red gingham panel it was already looking like a Valentine.  I just needed to change the sentiment.  I used the phrase from Juicy Strawberries' digital stamp and changed the word Friend to Valentine.

It was easy.

To complete the card I used a panel of red gingham and I die cut the strawberries that I colored with my Copic markers with Paper Trey Ink Mix and match die called Pretty Brackets die.  The shading and the touches of white gel pen really make them look juicy!

So now it is your turn.  I am so excited to see what you come up with for this challenge.  Don't forget to link up your creations to this challenge.  It will be open for a month.  Happy Stamping.

Until then,
