Double D - Building

Darlene is the host for the next Double D Challenge.  Once again, it had me searching through my stamps and dies for something that I could use. I thought of a couple of things, but buildings are a tough one. I finally decided to use a very old stamp from Paper Trey Ink. It is called Autumn Hills.  It does have some buildings.

Here is the finished card

It is simply stamped and colored with Copic markers and then placed in the windows of a die called Shadow box collection - celebrations. I cut it  from Kraft card stock.
Then I added some Nuvo drops on the leaves for dimention.

The prize for a random winner.

Seize the Birthday #236 Signs of Spring

It's Signs of Spring for the next challenge at Seize the Birthday and our host is Lindsey!
Well chosen subject as there are a lot of things that you can design with spring in mind

If you are not into toppings, be sure to make it a birthday card.

I got to use a new stamp and a die that was sent to me by a BFF.
Thanks Donna Phelan.
Sometimes it is nice to use a die to see if it is one that you will use.
I think that this one will be a part of my collection.

Supplies for this card are: Market Basket Die ( Donna)
Botani Cuts Crocus and Pussy Willows
Simon Says Stencil Tumbling Leaves

Double D Challenge - Easter

Diane is our host for this spring and holiday title challenge.

So many things on this board remind me of spring and the Easter blessings.
It has been a very long time since I have actually colored an image and I thought it was time.
I was inspired by the tulips and one of my favorite images from
Power Poppy called Tulips in a hobnail pitcher.

Here is the card for your inspiration

The prize for a random winner

Gina K Monthly Mix challenge

I am entering this card in the Monthly Mix challenge at Gina K Designs. Do you know why?  One of my BFFs is the hostess for this challenge.  She is none other than Donna Phelan! Her challenge is to create a tag. It can be a stand-alone or one on a card.

I placed my tag on this card.

I didn't have a GKD tag, but here is where invention meets necessity.  I used the slim panel from the Master layouts die one, and just cut the corners off  Then I dry embossed it with a
swiss dot folder. I am sure that you recognize the butterfly from the Fluttering by Fall bundle. The
Forever is a stand alone word die. Here is the best surprise, while thumbing through my dies,
I found the Oval dies set, and guess what..... it has a small tag on it. I happily cut several hearts along with the tag. I stamped Friend on the small tag and attached it to the large tag with gold thread. I wish that you could see the sparkle on the butterfly as I used WOS and a few gems. The black panel is from Master Layouts one too.

Donna is a friend that I have had since we first met doing Gina's challenges waaaay back when.  I cherish that friendship forever. She will get this card.

Stay tuned for more challenges coming your way from old crafting friends.  It's just like old times!
