Double D Challenge - Winter Snow Scene

I know that this is a busy week for you all, but relax and sit down and make a winter scene for our challenge at Double D. 

Here is some inspiration for you. 

The Prize

My card

This is a 5X5 square card with an envelope made from Scrapbook paper. I stenciled the background with green ink and then used the snow stencil. When it was dried, I added the cardinal image. 

I placed the snow stencil on top of the cardinal and stenciled again with Texture paste.

Ultimare Inspiration Challenge: Altenew Year in Review 2023

I am always intrigued and inspired by flowers and that is what I chose for my focal image on this card. 

I am using a stamp set that I purchased this year from Simon Says Stamptember, a collaboration with Altenew. It is called Rose Reverie. 

Not many supplies for this card, just the Rose Reverie image and sentiment. I used my water coloring paints from Daniel Smith and a die from the Greetery called Nordic Frame. 

After water coloring the roses, I did the background with a blue wash and then used a stencil that I created to make some interesting areas. The addition of some clear gems from my stash completed the card.  I have a hard time with splatter I think too much, but it is done.

Double D Challenge - Stripes and or Cots

I was drawn to the orange in the upper right corner and then just added some stripped and dots for this challenge. 

I can't wait to see what you do with this.

My Card

I used a partial die cut for my sentiment on this card. I am so happy with it and will find other ways to use it. 

Any die that has a shadow will work. I die cut the shadow first on my paper and then used the word die on the top.

This is my second card for this challenge. 

It's a long story, but I will tell you all about it. 

We spend our winters in Florida. We will be leaving in a few days. That means that  Ineed to pack up some of my supplies as I do have a craft room in the South. I call it the SCR. I can't buy two of every stamp and die that I own, so I take what I think I will need for the next seven months and just make do with what I have. 

That means that I have placed all of my Altenew stamps and dies in my extra suitcase. It weighs 36 pounds and I can hardly lift it.  No problem because Altenew provides a digital image that is free for downloading and coloring. That is what I did for this card as now I have some time to make a card. 

This image is colored with Copic markers as close to the colors for this inspiration challenge.

In honor of World Card making day, I am entering this card in the 

Pink Fresh Challenge, anything goes!

And the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Stencil fun. 

What fun it was to pull out my Pink Fresh stamps, stencil and dies to make this card. 
The set from Pink Fresh is called Miss You Smile. It has so many sentiments that can be used. It is a large stamp and can be used for a slimline card. I only used part of the stamp here. 

The stencils are a quick way to color and get dimension, 
but I had to add some of my Copic markers as well.  
My embossing folder is from Spellbinders called Beveled Diamonds.
Then I used another die and stamp from Pink Fresh called Lush Greenery. 
I loved the single word die used here. 
Finished with Nuovo drops here and there. 
Don't you love a matching envelope? I do!

Inks use for this card are:
Gina K Tangerine Twist, Coral Reef, light Spruce, Medium Spruce.
Altenew Honey Drizzle and Caramel Toffee
