Creative Confetti - Merci Bouquet

This week at Creative Confetti is right in my crafty zone!  Just color up a bouquet of Power Poppy for your creation.  I will mince no words and get right to it.  Here is my design.
This is a digital design that I have not colored before.  It is Wildflower Mini and was printed out on X-press paper and colored with Copic markers. Die cut with Memory Box Scalloped stitched rectangle.
I will be entering this in the Creative Confetti for this week.  I had a great time coloring and relaxing before my Son came for a visit.  It made the day go faster.
Thanks for stopping by and I do appreciate your comments.

Seize the Birthday- Make Us Laugh!

Welcome to another great challenge here at Seize the Birthday!

Our "Toppings" option this time is...
 Make Us Laugh!

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!
The choice is yours!

My teammate Lindsey has decided on the toppings subject for this month and it is a doozy! She said
Make us Laugh!  Ha, thanks Lindsey, I am up for this challenge.  I hope that my card is not too snarky.  I used my own computer generated sentiment on the front and soften it up in the inside.

Here is my snarky card for a birthday!

These City Rats by Katzel Kraft are too funny.  This guy looks like he could not be bothered and just wants to continue eating his cheese.   I put some thick coats of glossy accents on the cheese.  I wish you could see it better.
I hope that you use the toppings for this challenge and be sure to check out the team at
Seize the Birthday and our Surprise Party Guest too.

Creative Confetti - Color it up!

A new challenge for this week at Creative Confetti is to Color it up!

But to challenge yourself to find new ways to color.
I have often colored the background of my images with light colors to enhance the image, but today, I went out of my comfort zone and used a very dark combination.
I will get right to it.  I have only colored this digital image from Power Poppy where I learned to put the sentiment in the center of the geraniums. It is not a card yet.
Looks like I need more work getting the sentiment straight. It is kind of at a carefree angle.
I will be entering this in the Weekly Creative Confetti at Power Poppy.
Thanks for stopping by and I love your comments.
Going to an English tea room for lunch with my bestie today.

Creative Confetti Challenge - Take 10

For this challenge, we are to take a clean and classy design and create a card in 10 minutes or maybe a little longer.  No one is counting.  I was able to do my card by using some already created pieces and some printed design paper.
I will get right to it, here is what I did in a little more than 10 minutes.  But not much.
I used just the leaves from the ChrysanthemunXL stamp set and a panel of design paper and a border of green.  The circle was dry embossed and then the leaves and sentiment were placed on the top. I made the little heart that you see on the sentiment banner with Nuvo Chrystal drops on a Teflon sheet.  That is what took the longest, waiting for it to dry.
Please check out the ongoing monthly challenge at Power Poppy, called  Creative Confetti. I am having a lot of fun here and you may too.
Until next time, thanks for your comments as I do appreciate them.

Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes!

Welcome to another challenge at Seize the Birthday and it is Anything Goes this time.
Just remember to keep it a Birthday card.

I have a card for you that I practiced my no line coloring on.  You can do that by stamping with a light watercolor ink like I did.  I used Old Paper Distress ink to stamp this by Technique Tuesday called Today Flowers.
I scribbled my distress markers Peeled Paint and Pumice Stone, on a Teflon sheet and used my paint brush to color the flower. The sentiment is a die that coordinates with the stamp set,  I die cut TODAY and added Clear Embossing Powder on it and the small heart. The panel that the flower is on was die cut with a Memory Box die that I use often, Distress window collage.
It helps to darken the background around the flower with Pumice Stone.
Remember to finish the inside and add a matching envelope.
Can you see the I stamped the flower on the envelope too?  It wraps around to the front.
Please stop to see what the team has made for you along with our Surprise Party Guest Julie

Creative Confetti - All you need is LOVE! #30Day Coloring Challenge

That is right, All you need is LOVE.  For this weeks inspiration, Julie has said that you just need to create a card for someone that you need to share LOVE with.  So many people for that!  I just sat down and colored this image that was given to me one day my Marcie.  It is a no line digital Tulips in a Hobnail Pitcher.  Marcie said "See what you can do with this."  So here it is, looking very much like Spring and for some of us, a much needed sign and for others, one that we have been enjoying for a few weeks already.   Here is my card.

The sentiment is My Favorite Things Sunflower Sweetheart
Here in my Florida craft room, I have Spectrum Noir markers.  Yesterday I got an order of Copics and I have mixed the two to get the colors that I used to color these tulips.
Don't forget the inside.  I offset the Marianne's Anjas Square die that I used to cut the colored image, but I saved the tulips that I cut off and put them on the inside.  I also use some of the sparkly design paper there too.
I will be entering this in the Creative Confetti Challenge and the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I really do appreciate your comments that you take time to leave.

Double D - Hearts

Where did January go??? I know that it was here as we did two challenges, but here is it February and it is time for another fun challenge at Double D.  This is so appropriate for February as our theme is Hearts.  Check out the mood board.
Lots of hearts to be inspired by and you can also use your own inspiration like I did.  I love red hearts and that's what I went with. Here is my card and matching envelope for you.
This one went together pretty fast as I had an idea in my head and that is half the process. I did the snowflake stencil with white paste on white cardstock. Then cut the Hearts Parade from Simon Says out of red foil paper. That was adhered to the white panel with some foam to raise it up and give more texture.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday Bleeding Hearts stamp and framed with the red foil as well.  On my envelope, I die cut the Memory Box Heart rays die and put some white paper under it.  Here is a better look at that.
This card will be sent to a special guy in my life, my grandson Jack who says that he is not too old to get one from Grandma.
Here is the prize that you could get for winning this challenge.

I hope to see you there! Remember to see what team Diane has done for your inspiration.  You can find them here at Double D Challenge.
