Peach and Green

A very quick post today to show you a card that I am entering in the new challenge called Color Hues.
My birthday sister is the challenge host and I did this card for her.  I quickly stamped the Power Poppy Stamp called Simply Camellias in distressed ink and proceeded to watercolor it so that you would not see the lines. I kept it very simple.  I also used a background stamp from Simon says called  Flora.

Seize the Birthday - Create a Scene #208

Lindsey is our host for this challenge and she has chosen to Create a Scene.
Just remember if you are not a toppings kind of person, just make it a birthday card.

This is our second challenge for February.  It was a lot of fun for me as I decided to up my game a bit.
I recently bought a book to help me make different selections for my color schemes.

I search out this page and decided to make it my color scheme for this card.

Let's see how I did?

A little closer look.  Maybe my dark green should be darker.  What do you think?

Darlene is the host for this Challenge and the inspiration board says it all.
Anything with a Heart

This is the prize

This is my card.
I seem to be on a Clean and Simple streak!  New slimline card, but I make mine a bit smaller. I like it that way. This one is 61/2 X 3.  Just right for a few $$$$.  Lol

The inside is sparkly too.

Seize the Birthday - Hearts #207

Here we are in February and this is the first of our challenges for this month at Seize the Birthday. I had a lot of birthdays in January, but not so many in February.  These cards will just replenish my stash of cards for future birthday occasions. Nancy is our host for this challenge and she has appropriately chosen the topping of Hearts.

Come on and join us for this challenge.  All you crafty people out there, young and old, you can do it.  I think in these times, people really appreciate a card in the mail to perk up their day.
If you would rather not follow our topping of Hearts, just remember to make it a birthday card

We see cardinals every day on our bird feeder.  They are so pretty and that is why I got this cute Sizzix die as a freebie from Simon Says Stamp with purchase. I have stamps, but this is my first die. I just used distressed inks on watercolor paper and then die cut it out. Added some hearts from the same watercolor paper and one in red foil. After all the topping is HeartsThe green boughs are from The Greetery, Botanical Pine Boughs. Added my Sentiment and that is all.

Double D Challenge - Valentine Love

This is the inspiration board for this first February Challenge at Double D.  Diane is the host and the title is Valentine Love.

Well I don't have to mention that I went straight to the bottom right panel for my inspiration.  I didn't even get too creative, but instead, almost tried to copy this on my card.  Lol

I stamped all of the words with Simon Says Stamp, Roses for You.  Then colored them in with a copic.  I only die cut one in red foil paper.  The other little hearts are from MFT Coffee Date.
Easy and simply fun.
There is a prize, and I don't know how Diane and Dar do it?  The prize is always fabulous.

PRIZE

I hope to see you join in our challenge then you will have a chance to win this prize.  Be sure to Check out the Valentine Love at Double D Challenge.
