Seize the Birthday Challenge #224 - Cakes

Our "Topping" option this time is...

If you are not into using the toppings, just make sure it is a birthday card.

Shirley is our hostess for this challenge, and it is so appropriate for a birthday card.
Here is what I did.

This is a stamp from Power Poppy that I have colored many times and this time I used watercolors. The stamp is called Tea in the Garden, but it looks like a delicious birthday cark to me. I used the sentiment from a set called Party Time.  Since the stamp is polymer, I could curve it like I wanted.
This is a mini slimline card and I used my Kat Scrappiness mini slimline dies to make it.
I also had fun making the envelope to fit it. That also used up some of the scrapbook papers that I have.

Seize the Birthday Challenge #223 - Faux or Real Stitching

Our "Topping" option this time is...
If you are not into using the toppings, just make sure it is a birthday card.

We all take turns deciding what the topping will be for a challenge. It is my turn for this one and I chose Stitching.  Make it real or faux. Not a problem.

Here is my card

Since I knew in advance of this challenge, I ordered the die from Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club for May 2021.

I die cut it from some heavy cardstock and then did the stitching.  I was not intending to stitch all of it, but that is how it worked out. You see, I took it with me on a little trip and I could sit and stitch while I visited with family. That is the reality of how easy it was.
Seriously!

Then, I simply adhered it to a card base from Gina K Designs Coral Reef. Added a few pearls from my stash. I die cut the sentiment three times and glued them together as this card has lots of definition. Honey Bee Buzzwords is the die I used.

Double D Challenge - Leaves

It is the second Double D Challenge for the month of September.
Darlene is the hostess and appropriately chose the theme of LEAVES.
Most of us think of the fall colors for the leaves,
but I took inspiration from the green ones.

I wonder what you will do on your entry for this challenge?
Here is my card.

This stamp is the Greetery, Sign & Sealed stamp, and die. I used the Gina K ink called Moonlit fog. Sometimes it looks greener than here. I added a few Nuvo drops in gold to the berries.

Here is the prize for a random winner.

Color Hues - One Year Anniversary!

My friend and birthday sister, Nancy Leppek is celebrating one year of her new card challenge
Color Hues

I am sure it has been a lot of work for her, but she enjoys it and after all, she has joined us retired crafters. As you can see the challenge is Yellow and Orange this time. There are prizes too.

I got two for one with this stamp. It was not my original intention, but you all know how
 that shakes out sometimes.

GKD Stamp Timeless Poppies
GKD Grateful sentiment die from Fluttering Fall Bundle.
I cut this to make a mini slimline card and used the rest of the stamp to make this next card. From my stash copper sequins and clear droplets.  I took a deep breath and did splatters with
white and dark brown.

I have used this stamp set a number of times and I can see more in the future.
This card also used the Penny Black Die called Border Edges
Embossing folder by Darice called Wire Fence. Some twine from my stash and the Spellbinder die of the month Colorblock circles and stripes. Clear droplets from my stash.

Seize the Birthday Challenge #222 - Pastel Colors

Our "Topping" option this time is...

If you are not into using the toppings, just make sure it is a birthday card.
Joann is our host for this challenge and she has opted for pastel colors.  I do love pastel colors and forget how pretty they can be on a card.

Here is my card

I got some inspiration for this card from Pinterest. I used the Gina K Designs Master Layouts One dies for the background. The design papers are MFT and also the borderline die used here as the birthday candles. I also improvised the flames using a leaf die from PTI. The little sprigs are a die from Tim Holtz. Embroidery floss for bows completed the look that I wanted.
Sometimes you don't need a sentiment on the front to know that it is a Birthday card.

Double D Challenge - Anything with a Tail

Welcome back to the first challenge of the month for Double D!
Here it is September and the days are getting more like fall and that is fine with me.
It has been a hot summer in Wisconsin.

So are you ready for this challenge? Diane has chosen anything with a tail!
Here is the mood board for some inspiration.

Here is my card.

The birds have a tail, and the bunnies have a tail!

I could not resist using this stamp and dies from Colorado Craft Company.
It is called Bunnies and Robbin.
I did the background with Distressed inks of
Peeled Paint
Shabby 'shutters
Stormy Sky
The wrought iron gate is a die from Memory Box
All placed on a wrapped scalloped rectangle also from Memory Box

Here is the prize for a random winner.
Link up your entry by September 12th to be included.
