DD - January 21, 2026 - Friends

Hello crafters! This new challenge from Darlene at Double D Challenge, really brought back some memories! It simply called Friends. Just look at the mood board for this challenge. Does it bring back some old or even new memories? I will tell you about mine in the description of my card.

Here is the fun mood board for you inspiration.
As always there is a prize for a random winner

I lived and worked in Wisconsin and there is a fun place to go to anytime of year. You may have heard of Door County Wisconsin. My friend, Sharon had a cottage there and invited a small group of friends for a girls weekend. I loved those times when we could enjoy food, shopping and relaxing times together. As the day ended, there were girly/romantic movies to watch on the TV. This stamp reminded me of those good times. Sharon is gone now and there are no girly weekends anymore. But I have the sweet memories. There is a name for every girl image in this stamp.

Using the Stamp from Art Impressions and Master Layouts 4 from Gina K, I colored up this image with my Copic markers.

I even finished the inside.

I would love to see your friends favorites. Check out the blog for more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

I had a lot of fun with this one.

I love the vintage look of these Santa's and Snowmen.

The Prize for a random winner

My card

Yes, it folds flat for mailing and so much fun to make.

Here is where you can see how to make the base of this card. No dies are required.
Then decorate it any way that you like.

I used the Stampendous die called Santa Hugs to make the Santa and reindeer.
This is a 5 X 7 card. I found the die still available on eBay.
Some poinsettia flowers and leaves and the sentiment is a die that I have had for a long time.

You will have fun if you click on the Double D Blog for this challenge for more inspiration.

Merry Christmas to all

Hello crafters it is time for another challenge at Double D! This next two weeks our theme is Fall colors! The perfect time of year to make fall cards. Next week will be Thanksgiving in the US. You could combine these colors with a thanks card. Just saying! I would love to see what you enter.

Here is the mood board for you.

Of course, there is a prize for a random winner.

My card for this challenge.

This cover die has been in my room for a long time. I am sure that I got it from Kathy Krug as she gave me tons of die cuts.  It just spoke out to me to use it for this challenge.  I do not know the manufacturer.
Using glue and gilded flakes in gold and copper, I cover some of the leaves.
Simply put it on a background and added the die cut sentiment from The Greetery.

Please take a look at the bog to see what the team has done for this challenge.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
