Seize the Birthday - Cards for Kids

JoAnn has picked out topping for this challenge, you will have fun with this one.

I usually need adult birthday cards but now there are younger children that I make and send cards too.   This one is for my grand niece.  She is the oldest of my sister's grandkids.  Since my sister is gone, I have stepped in, to kind of take her place. I think that kids love interactive cards and that is what I made here.  I had the help of a sweet crafter friend who kindly sent me the die cuts to make this card. The die cut is Elizabeth Craft Design. The balloons are Simon Says Balloon Bouquet.
Thank you, Kathy, you are more helpful to me than you know.

I just had to decorate the sides of this box with colorful birthday colors. Lots of Balloons and sentiments.

This is how it looks closed to put into an envelope.

Now, on to the post that I had scheduled for today
with a card for Fun Friday.

Hello Friends, I am back again with a Friday Fun day.  I am having some fun with my pictures and my new Photoshop Program.  I made a collage of the card that I did and posted it up top to give you a sneak peek.  I used the Power Poppy Digital stamp called Gifts from the sea.  Whenever we get family and friends visiting here in Florida, the beach is one place that they what to include in their visit. Going shelling is fun and enjoying the beach and the water is so relaxing.

Oh the sunset!

Shelling is fun anywhere.

Here is the card that I colored for this blog post. I printed out the digital stamp called Gifts from the Sea.  Then I pulled up some pictures of seashells and started coloring with my Copics and some pencils.  I also used some Spectrum Noir markers to help my Copics.

By the way, this digital is on sale too. https://powerpoppy.com/search?q=gifts+from+the+sea

It is only $2.99

The shells are all so different and beautiful, great to add some color.

I also had fun with different filters on pictures.  This one is a black fade.

I made a beachy looking panel to place my colored image on and then on a
base of  kraft cardstock.

I wonder what you are working on this weekend.  I hope it is fun.

Seize the Birthday - Touch of Green

We have another fun Challenge for you these two weeks.
The topping is just in time for a St Patrick Day Birthday.

Vicki has chosen the toppings for this challenge a Touch of Green

But if you are not a toppings kind of personJust make it a birthday card and that will work too!

Surprise Party Guest is

Here is my card

I think that this if the first time I have made a round card.  I also probably put more green on it than a touch. I hoped that keeping it light it would fit the bill anyway.
This is Power Poppy Hydrangea digital stamp
Colored with Copic markers and Novo drops of gold for the center of the flowers. I die cut it with a stitched circle die from Lil Inkers and left the die in place and sponged a little green around the edges. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamps Handwritten Borders.

I did make an envelope for this card.  Inside the envelope is my handmade
watercolor design to add some pizzaz to the envelope and card.

Double D Challenge - St Patrick's Day

Team Diane has a challenge for these two weeks.  She has a great mood board for you and the colors of Green Gold and White.  Let me show you it for inspiration.

I took my inspiration from the colors first ( Green Gold and White)  and I had to get a shamrock in for sure.  That plaid in the top left box was calling to me as well.  I recently watched a video by Debbie Hughes and after watching it, I tried my hand at doing a watercolor background. Watch it HERE

I really liked the results that I got and maybe doing more. Well you be the judge, here is my card.

I printed out the digital stamp from Power Poppy called Wishing on watercolor paper.  Using the colors of green, and gold I colored the design.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things called Hello, and cut it with a window die. I had to put it on a white oval die cut so that it would pop out more. I wish that you could see the gold in this picture.

There is a prize to a random winner for this challenge.

Be sure and see the Double D Challenge blog for more inspiration from the rest of the team.

Thanks for stopping in and for the comments that you leave. They are appreciated.
