Color Hues - Turquoise and Coral

The new challenge at Color Hues really got my mojo going! That and all of the new stamps and dies that seemed to land in my mailbox.  Well, It was my birthday week, just saying.

Here is the card that I am entering in this challenge.
( looks like I need to trim my shiplap)

You all know that Fixer Upper show by Chip and Joanna Gaines, well Shiplap has come to card making and I am here to show you. I was so thrilled to see this die and I ordered it along with the gorgeous stamp and die shown here. They came in just a few days and I was able to play with them.
I already had the Signed and Sealed set.

I started out just swiping my ink pad across the cardstock and then die cutting the shiplap.  That was my background for this card. I stamped and die cut the flowers and the envelope, place them on the front and that was it.

The Greetery Shiplap die, Lovely Blossoms stamp, and die
Signed and Sealed set.
Gina K ink   Tranquil Teal, Tangerine Twist and Coral Reef

Vellum die cut from Spellbinders that was sitting on my desk.

I am entering this in the Color Hues Challenge.

Seize the Birthday Challenge #221 - By the Sea

Our "Topping" option this time is...

If you are not into using the toppings, just make sure it is a birthday card.

Our hardworking leader, Nancy is our host for this challenge and it is a doozie. She chose By the Sea, Maybe because she lives there? Anyway, there are so many possibilities here. I can't wait to see what you do.

Here is my card.

Supplies for this card are:
Cherry Lynn dies, Cattails and Reeds
Gina K Designs = By The Sea 2 and Signs of Spring for the Sentiment, Tourquise Sea cardstock, and matching envelope.

A close-up of the waves enhanced with white ink and a stiff brush.

Double D Challenge - Fruits and Vegetables

Here it is getting toward the end of summer.  This is the second challenge in the month of August and usually, we are thinking is of the fruits and vegetables that we get from the farmer's markets this time of year. I bet that is why Darlene pick this subject, you think?
Here is the inspiration board for you.

This is my card. I took the leap and did this card from an older stamp set, designed by Marcella Hawley.
Figs are a fruit, I checked just to make sure. Some of my older stamps have been forgotten and they are too pretty to let waste away. This one is called Dreaming of Florence and since we are now able to travel more, I have been hoping to get back to Florence or anywhere in Italy. I have been there twice, but once more, please.

After stamping, I colored this with Copic markers and colored pencils. Then I die cut it with Gina K Master Layout 2 and put that on a base of Wild Wisteria cardstock. I also used a Penny Black die called Wildwood and cut that three times and put them in the corner.  They remind me of the grapevines.
If you don't know what La dolce vita means, here is the translation. The Good Life.

Of course, there is a prize for a random winner.

Now go over to the blog for more inspiration on fruits and vegtables.

Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop with Altenew

Hello! And welcome to the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop
with Altenew!
The purpose of this hop is to raise awareness of all the challenge blogs
out there. Isn't that great? Love the idea of knowing what's available.

The Double D Challenge blog has been invited to join the hop,
and I'm so excited to bring you some inspiration
from the Double D team!

I was so excited when I hear that the Double D team was invited to the hop. I had a hard time deciding what Altenew stamp I was going to use. Finally chose Beautiful Day!

For this card, I used the Altenew stamp Beautiful Day. I have the die as well but did not use it for this card. Instead, I used Altenew Bold Alphabet Dies for the word HI. I thought it would be fun to die cut the sentiment right into the colored flowers. I did cut several layers of that die with black cardstock to make the letters "pop". After coloring, I used white gesso to splatter the front of this card.

$250 in total prizes! To celebrate this fantastic blog hop, Altenew is giving away $25 gift certificates to TEN lucky winners. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the blogs listed below and will be announced on the Altenew blog on September 5th, 2021.

Double D Challenge - Mason Jars

Here we are in the first week of August and Summer is in full swing.  Diane is our host for this two week challenge and she found lovely pictures of mason jars.  Boy does that bring back old memories. My mom did a lot of canning and I did too. Not as much or as long as she did.  I liked the more modern idea of going to the grocery store. Lol

They are all so pretty, but I wanted to use a die that I had never used before.
Actually, I used a lot of stamps and dies on this one.
My card is below.

This is it!
I caught lightning bugs but never a fairy to keep in a jar.

Here are the supplies:

Gina K Designs Buds and Vases
                                                                Magnificent Mini Faires die
                                                                Altenew, Adore You stamp
                                                                Quilted stencil from Kaiser Craft
                                                                 Kat Scrapiness Slimline dies

The prize for a random winner

Our design team is the best and I am sure that you will get some inspiration Here
