STB - Splatters

Glenda is our host for this challenge and she has chosen Splatters.

Since I can't do splatters very well, I went right to a stencil for them. You can too, or you can do anything as long as it is a birthday theme.

Here is the card that I did

Supplies that I used for this card are:
Tim Holtz stencil Splatters ( never used before)
The Greetery Warm and Wonderful  stamp and die and crimped edge die.
My Favorite Things stamp for the sentiment  Raise a Glass

Ok, this was a fun card and I think it could be a masculine birthday card as well.
Please take a look at the team for more inspiration Here.

Debrah Wheeler is our Surprise Party Guest for the next few months.

STB #266 - Be Inspired by a Book

Glenda has chosen a topping for this challenge that i had so much fun working with. I am in two book clubs and knew right where I was going with this challenge.
I can't wait to see your take on it.

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well...you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes" Birthday!
The choice is yours!

Here is my card and the story behind the book that I have been inspired by.

The book that I recently read was The Spoon Stealer by Lesley Crewe.  The main character steals spoons from places or occasions that mean something to her. It is kind of like scrapbooking to crafters. There is a lot more to this story and I have to say that I loved the book and would recommend it to anyone.

I Looked for a digital image of spoons and found one and printed out several. After fussy cutting them, I colored them to look more realistic and made a card. The sentiment is computer generated. Here are the other supplies that I used.
The Greetery Nordic frame and Hoop Wreath stamp and die
Simon Says Leaves and Berries background stamp
Clear Dew drops

The rest of the team has some great cards for your inspiration. Check out the blog.

Don't forget that your Surprise Party Guest is Izzy.

DD challenge - Lemons or Yellow as a focus

Diane has prepared this inspiration board for us this next challenge and I love it! So many ideas here, but I went right to the lemons. You see, I had a new die that was an orange slice, but could easily be made to look like a lemon slice. See what you think.

Here is the card that I did for this challenge

Using some paper from my stash for a background, I die cut The Greetery die called dried citrus slices, Big Branches ruscus leaves, and crimped frame. I had that panel in my bits box and it is also The Greetery, Macrame Open work. The base is GKD Grass Green card stock and the took some liberties with the sentiment. It is from Cas-ual Friday stamp called Mon Ami. It read You're the Best and I changed it to ZEST. Get it?
Inside, I used the other half of the lemon slice.

The Prize for a random winner.

Be sure to go to the blog for more inspiration from the team. You can find that HERE

Seize the Birthday - #244 No Stamping

Welcome to another challenge at Seize the Birthday where we challenge you to a topping, but if you are not a toppings kind of crafter, just make sure that it is a Birthday Card.

Out toppings for this two week challenge is No Stamping! Our hostess is Glenda!

Here is the card that I did using only die cuts. Easy one for me as I have many dies it seems.

Supplies for this card
The Greetery Macrame Open Work and Made for you fillers
Simon Says Die, Happy Birthday.

Love this die!

Paper Players Challenge 546

A new challenge for me.  My friend Nancy Leppek is a guest host t Paper Players.  I find that I have some time on my hands. What do I do with that?  I make a card. It is the sketch challenge for this week.

I pretty much stuck with the sketch as you can see by my card below.

GKD Chocolate Brown card base and panels of Coral Reef.
My friend Judy Woodland pointed out that I use gray a lot.  This card is for her. Lol
I used an embossing folder on the panels called Flower Pod by Darice
The Greetery Autumn word die cut three times from gold and the Botanicuts Wheat Die
The circle was a scrap from my box of a background that didn't work out. I am glad that I saved it
as it works now.

Double D Challenge - Leaves

It is the second Double D Challenge for the month of September.
Darlene is the hostess and appropriately chose the theme of LEAVES.
Most of us think of the fall colors for the leaves,
but I took inspiration from the green ones.

I wonder what you will do on your entry for this challenge?
Here is my card.

This stamp is the Greetery, Sign & Sealed stamp, and die. I used the Gina K ink called Moonlit fog. Sometimes it looks greener than here. I added a few Nuvo drops in gold to the berries.

Here is the prize for a random winner.

Impression Obsession - Dies - Small Leaf Set

Color Hues - Turquoise and Coral

The new challenge at Color Hues really got my mojo going! That and all of the new stamps and dies that seemed to land in my mailbox.  Well, It was my birthday week, just saying.

Here is the card that I am entering in this challenge.
( looks like I need to trim my shiplap)

You all know that Fixer Upper show by Chip and Joanna Gaines, well Shiplap has come to card making and I am here to show you. I was so thrilled to see this die and I ordered it along with the gorgeous stamp and die shown here. They came in just a few days and I was able to play with them.
I already had the Signed and Sealed set.

I started out just swiping my ink pad across the cardstock and then die cutting the shiplap.  That was my background for this card. I stamped and die cut the flowers and the envelope, place them on the front and that was it.

The Greetery Shiplap die, Lovely Blossoms stamp, and die
Signed and Sealed set.
Gina K ink   Tranquil Teal, Tangerine Twist and Coral Reef

Vellum die cut from Spellbinders that was sitting on my desk.

I am entering this in the Color Hues Challenge.
