Cas Mix Up Challenge July 2026

This has been a busy travel season so far. We have been gone on a family vacation in June and then on to a fabulous Europe river cruise. What great experience it was.

But time away from my craft has been too long. I have not made a card in 6 weeks.! When I saw this new challenge, I thought I would give it a try. I just made it before it was ending.
We are to make an Eclipse card.

Here is the card that I made using these supplies:
Gina K Designs Whimsical Primrose stencil
It comes with a die, but I did not use it.
The sentiment is Waffle Flower
Inks are Pink Fresh Clementine, Persimmon
and Ocean Breeze, Mermaid Cove
A few dots of Diamond Stickles to finish ( hard to see in the photo)

I will enter this card in the new challenge Called Cas Mix it Up Card Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Seize the Birthday #331 - Square card + non white base

Glenda is the hostess for this next challenge and she wants us to make a Square card, but this is a twist as the base must not be white. I quickly made a square card, but forgot the non white base. Easy fix, and I just sponged on pink ink to my white base. Lol  It is amazing how quickly you can fix a mistake.

If you are not doing the topping, just make it a Birthday theme card.

Here is my card.

Card stock : Watercolor paper and Spellbinders Chiffon
Dies:  Gina K Master Layouts #3, Fluttering Fall Bundle
Stamps. Fluttering Fall Bundle
Ink: Gina K Lt. Carnation, Sand Stone
Stencil: Gina K Crazy Daisy

Guest designer at Color Hues!

I’m excited to share that I was one of the winners of the #TCH133 Challenge.  ðŸŽ‰

As a result, I’ve been invited to be the Guest Designer for the next challenge #135, which is such an honor. I’m grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to share my project.

When I saw these two colors, my first thought was bees. From there, my imagination kept going, and I decided to expand on that idea. Bees make honey, so honey became the inspiration behind my project and the direction I chose for my creation.
Although I don't have a lot of stamps and dies here, I was lucky enough to have two that I used.

Supplies :
Gina K Designs White and Black Card stock
Altenew 3D embossing folder Dotty Circles, with ink brushed over some areas
I used two stamp and die set from different company's.
Colorado Craft Honey Jar
The Greetery Honey Jar
Distressed ink mustard seed (dripping honey)
Gina K Skeleton Leaves ( bees wings)
Black Nuvo Drops for the middle of the flowers
Glitter for bees wings
Glossy accents
Want to know how I got the dripping honey?
I put mustard seed ink on my glass top, then mixed in some glossy accents.
I used a small que tip to put a blob of that mixture on a silicone mat, and then drag it down for the look of a drip. I let that dry over night and then adhered the drip to my card

The inside.

I hope that I have motivated you to enter this challenge and I would enjoy seeing you here.
Take a look at the challenge and the examples and rules Here.

That embossing folder!

I am lucky enough to have the Anna Griffin embossing folder
that everyone is looking for called Matelasse.
It is an old one and I remember exactly when I got it. I was at a Crafting fair in Minneapolis one weekend and had to have it. I am so glad that it was a must back then as I am having fun with it now. Before leaving Florida last week, my crafts were packed up, but I was able to emboss a bunch of card stock and design paper and just cut away. I usually listen to a pod cast while crafting and that was what I was doing. I brought them all back to Wisconsin with me and I am using one of them today.

Here is the card that I created for several challenges.

Embossing folder is Anna Griffin Matelasse, Design paper is an old pack from My Favorite Things
The flower bouquet is Paper Trey Ink, Build a Bouquet cut with cardstock from Gina K Designs called Wild Wisteria. I used some Copic markers to highlight some areas. Can you see a little bit of purple glitter in the center of some flowers. It takes a lot for me to break out the glitter. Lastly the special sentiment is from a crafty friend that some of you may remember, Kathy Krug. She would send me die cuts and I did the same for her. Sadly, we lost Kathy several years back, but I still have her die cuts. This one is from Creative Expressions.  I liked that way this turned out and It kicked started my mojo.

I will be entering this card in these challenges.
