Every week Power Poppy has a new challenge, but they all go into the mix for a month. At the end of the month, a random winner is chosen. This week we are to go half and half. You can split your card into two colors or go more dramatic and go dark to light. There was no question that I was thinking more dramatic for my card. See what you think.
This is a digital stamp Blossoming Cherry, that I really made large and bold and then printed it out on white card stock. I will have several cards from this printing. I colored them with markers and then covered half with two layers of vellum. That gave me a more subdued look. I used a spellbinder die that I often use called A2 curved borders and used just the scallop to define the edge more. All of this was layered on a panel of Chocolate Brown and the on a base of white card stock.
A quick wash of distressed ink in Broken China for the background. Then I added the sentiment from Power Poppy Small but Mighty Affirmations.
I will be entering this in Creative Confetti for this week.
Thanks for stopping in, I hope that you enjoyed my card as I enjoy your comments.
