Make It Monday #236

This week for the Make It Monday Challenge we get to go A La Carte!  They have posted a review of all of the challenges in 2015 and you get to pick one that you liked, or maybe missed. You can check it out OUT!

There were so many to pick from.  Some I remembered very well and I was able to join in.  the one that I picked for my entry is Bring the Inside Out, by Danielle Flanders.
Here is my card.
I used my distress inks and my water color abilities to make this simple card.  I also used die cuts and stamp set from Papertreyink, called Scene it: Celebration.  I am going to used this set a lot.  I can sure see that.
This die was cut from Strathmore watercolor paper and then colored and adhered to the inside of the card.  I used the same die to cut the circle on the front of the card, thus letting the inside out!  A few stamped stars and a greeting on the inside and outside too.  Of Course, a little Wink of Stella on the stars.

Take a peek at the inside.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I am so glad that I was able to bring my card making supplies with me this winter.  There is a lot to do in sunny Florida, but I still have time for my craft!  My best to you this week.

Oh, and please check out the MOD SQUAD CHALLENGE this week.  Leslie Turner and I are hosting and there are prizes.  Just sayin!

Mod Squad Challenge One Die Cut

I have re-potted myself for the winter in Sunny Florida.  After the busy holidays and travel time here, I have a new temporary craft space and I have made my first card for 2016.  My friend, Kathy Krug is the hostess for the Mod Squad Challenge this week.  She has some wonderful news and it is so well deserved.  Take a peek at her BLOG to see the news and how talented she is.  I have several of her cards and they are proudly displayed for all to see.
Kathy is keeping it simple, and has just asked that we use one die.  I have new stamps and dies, just calling to me, so here is what I whipped up in no time at all.
Here is what I used:
My Favorite Things stamp and matching die,  Adorable Elephants
MFT Steel Grey card stock  MFT Homespun Gingham 6 x 6 paper pack.
GKD white layering card stock.

Copic markers and Wink of Stella

This is just a simple and cute card made quickly as I get used to my work space.

Time is getting short, but this is still time to enter this fun and easy challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping in and I hope I can spread some Sunshine your way.

Plant Kindness

I firmly believe in kindness.  Whenever you show a little kindness, it comes back to you is so many rewarding ways.  I recently purchased this stamp set from Power Poppy and was itching to ink it up and color it.  As I pack up my craft room, I wanted to use some of the test project that I had done and found this stencil grid of gold texture paste that I had used. The image from Sage Advice stamp set, was the one used over the panel.  I added a white frame and a sentiment from the same set.

After stamping the image with black ink, I used a clear embossing powder.  It makes it easier to color and sparkles too.  The bowl that the plants are in is colored with Gold Wink of Stella as well.
I will enter this card in the  Power and Spark challenge.  We could pick form a list of challenges from this year. I chose Go For the Gold!

Another view of the card.

Thanks so very much for stopping by to take a look at my card.  I know this time of year is busy and I do appreciate your comments.

Mod Squad Challenge

The Mod Squad Challenge this week is, Anything But a Christmas card.  My BFF Judy Woodland is the host and you really need to check out her BLOG.  She is so very creative and now she is using these stamps from Kitchen Sink.  They are all Multi stamp images and they looks so real.  I have had this one and thought I would use it for some of my Christmas cards, but that didn't happen.  I really wanted to ink it up, and when this challenge came along, I realized it didn't have to be a Christmas Card.
Here is my card.
The stamp set is Winter Cardinals, and I used three different reds and three greens and a brown to stamp this. All GKD inks. Then I used a rectangle Spellbinder die to emboss the frame and added the sentiment and the pearls and ribbon from my stash.    The cardinal is fussy cut and place on the branch, also from the set.

Well, I am off to visit my Son and DIL for Christmas.  They live about 2 hours away.  I am bringing lots of joy to them and their dogs, Sailor and Hoss.  Of course, my grand dogs have their gifts from Grandma too, along with home baked doggie treats.  I don't think you can soil them too much.
Thanks for stopping by during this busy season.  I do appreciate it when you leave a comment.
As my BFF Donna Phelan says......Merry Merry!  I'm Just stealing from her.

Just us Girls Challenge Word Week

The card that I am posting today is one that i pulled from my Christmas cards as it fits the challenge this week at JUGS.  Ina, has used the word "MERRY".  Pretty easy for this time of year.  Thanks Ina!
Here is my card.
This was a simple card made with white card stock from Simon Says Christmas kit 2014.  It is textured with wood grain.  The deer is an digi image from Whimsie Doodle,  that I colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  I completed the card with the sentiment and snowflake die, cut from red glossy card stock.  The gift is a sticker also from the 2014 kit.  I colored several of the reindeer and put him a several cards this year.  So stinking cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my creations. I do appreciate the comments.
