Seize the Birthday Travel

For the last challenge in the month of August, we have a Travel theme
for our topping.  If your are not a topping kind of person,
just remember to make it a Birthday theme.

I did the toppings and here is my card for you.

I have a matching emvelope that I stamped too.

Here are the supplies that I used for this card:
Gina K Designs card stock in Sandy Beach and Dark Chocolate
and some design paper from my stash.
Gina K Ink in Dark Chocolate
Stamps are Gina K Enjoy the Journey and Hello Sunshine
Simon Says Due Postage Stamp edges frame

I had fun with the sentiment using several of them to make this one. I also did some paper piecing on the hemisphere.

Have fun with this one too, can't wait to see what you come up with.
Take a look at more inspiration from the design team at Seize the Birthday

Double D Challenge - If the Shoe Fits

I will admit that this was a difficult challenge for me.  First of all, I had no shoe stamps,  This is where the challenge part comes it and I love a good challenge.

I pulled out a digital stamp that I have had for a long time.  This stamp had a sentiment and an image of boots.  I wanted to separate them and that was where the challenge came in.
I'll show you what I mean.
I wanted to separate the sentiment so that I could run it through my Minc and foil it.

This is a better picture of the foil.
For this card, I used Gina K Designs card stock in Turquoise Sea.  An embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers for the quilt look. A Simon Says Die called Umbrella shaker and Design paper from Graphic 45, Artisan Style. Some Nuvo drops on the raindrops to finish it off.
Please stop over to see the other inspirations from the Design team at Double D.

This is the prize for the random winner.

I will be looking forward to seeing your creations.
Thanks for stopping here and leaving a much appreciated comment.

Creative Confetti - All about the (Pumpkin) Spice

Julie said it is all about the spice and to add some fall flavor to our carfting.  I just got this digital stamp this weekend and did not need to look any further.  I colored it up using the real images that Marcella showed us on her blog.

At first I thought it would be overwhelming, but after I got started, it was relaxing and took very little time.  These fall colors are so bold and bright.  I will be entering this in the Creative Confetti for this week.
Thanks so very much for taking time to drop in and leave a comment.  I really appreciate them.

I took out my darker gray cardstock and stamped the Chinese Lanterns on it and then colors with my Copic markers after using clear embossing powder to the image. I love this stamp set and colored in orange, it looks great with the gray.
Here is my card

Copic markers and gray card stock
Swiss dot embossing folder and Penny Black die Border Edgers

Seize the Birthday - Use a Die Cut or Punch

Welcome to another great challenge here at Seize the Birthday!

Our "Toppings" option this time is...

Use a Die Cut or Punch

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!

                                                  The choice is yours!
Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

For this challenge, I used a die cut that I have only used once before, but after this, I think I will be going to it more often.  I loved how this turned out.  Next time I will make a few minor changes.
Here is my tag birthday card.
This is how it looks closed and the front decorated.

When you open the tag book, it looks like this.  You can decorate it any way that you like.
I fussy cut the butterfly and flowers as they are older stamps
and no die was available for them, but cutting works.

A closer look at the inside.  I love the look of the hand sketched stamps.

They were fun to color and I did quite a few of them and used them all.
The YOU has glossy accents on it.  It really stands out that way.

Here is what I used to make this tag book:
Karen Burniston tag book pop up
Gina K Designs YOU die
Simon says You Matter stamp ( sentiment on the front)
Stampin Up stamps Winged Things and Wonderful You.  I have had them for a long time.
Distressed Oxidie inks and a stamp from Darkroom Door called scrip

Be sure to check out the other design team inspirations for you too at Seize the Birthday.

And Our Surprise Party Guest Marianne
From Marianne's cards and stuff.

I hope to see you on the blog this challenge and I do appreciate your wonderful comments.
