Timeless Tuesday #249 ~ Stitch It Up!

One last post this week. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas here. House is decorate inside and out, and there is promise of snow soon. As long as you don't have to go out in it, it's beautiful. Lol
The challenge this week is to use stitching. We can use either real or faux. Well, I chose faux.

And here is my card for this challenge.

On navy CS, I stamped the snowflakes from the Handmade Snowflakes stamp set at Flourishes. I used versa mark and white embossing powder. Then I did the embossed resist technique and sponged navy ink over the top and rubbed off the snowflakes with a paper towel. The sentiment is from the same set and is heat embossed with silver glitter. On the bottom, I used silver threads and a sequin snowflake with a rhinestone in the center. Cut out the sentiment with a spellbinder die and did the faux stitching around the edges as well as the whole card. Last, that little red glitter heart that I seem to be putting on every card that I do. Just love that touch of love.

Thanks for stopping by and I do appreciate your comments.

  1. Your snowy scene is so pretty! I love the embossed snowflakes, and your sparkly heart gives it just the right touch.

  2. Oh wow, those snowflakes are gorgeous. I am so in love with snowflakes this have inspired me with this card. Very pretty, and I also love the silver glitter embossing on the dark CS. Very striking...good job!!

  3. GREAT faux stitching! Love the emboss resist of your snowflakes too, they look FAB!

  4. This turned out lovely! The touch of silver thread and the sequin finished it off perfectly! Thanks for joining us at Flourishes!
