The Sweet Life!

MAGAZINE MADNESS
My friend Judy Woodland is the host this week at The Mod Squad challenge blog.
She has chosen the challenge to use something from a magazine.  She has give us three great examples of what she was getting at when she dreamed up this challenge.  That being said, not easy when the only magazines that you get, currently are Money and Newsweek, oh and car magazines.
I when searching through what we had, of course getting permission to cut any of those, as they  all belong to Hubby.  Then I hit a jackpot, old National Geographic.  My friend Donna Phelan cautioned me not to use any topless pictures.  What a Hoot she is.  Cover your eyes......
Here is my card.

I found a picture of these ferns and fussy cut them out. The color matched very well with GKD Dusty Sage cardstock,  so that is how I started.  This card became a lot different than what I originally planned.  This brought back memories that I will cherish for all of my life.  Thank you Judy!
We were very fortunate to take a trip to Italy and that included a day in Tuscany.  We went to a vineyard and had the best day ever! That may have been a factor of all of the wine drinking, but we had a driver to take us home. You can see for yourself if you click Verrazzano Winery.

After I die cut the window from Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo, I draped the cut out ferns over the top.  Then stamped and colored the scene from Flourishes Dreaming of Florence stamp set.  Layered a panel of GKD black onyx, and adhered to the Dusty Sage base.
La Dolce Vita means, the Sweet Life and that is my memories.  (sigh)
Thanks for dropping in and I hope that you took a tour of the winery today.  This was my pleasure!

Gosh you have totally captured Florence....not that I have ever been but it's surely how I dreamed it would be. Great window scape and the ferns are just too too perfect!
