My Favorite Things Summer School Lesson #1

I never had to go to summer school.  In my day, if you when to summer school, it was not a good thing.  It is so much different now, even my children when to summer school, to learn more and have fun.  That is why I am so excited to participate in the Summer School that My Favorite Things is doing this week.

Lesson #1 – Composition: Rule of Thirds  You can find the lesson HERE

Here is my homework.

Base is GKD card stock Yellow Corn
Bassill card stock in Green Tea
I dry embossed the stars from the Die-namics pierced star stax and sponged with ink to make it stand out more.
Die cuts from Die-namics Magical Memories are scattered above
PI Fairy Girl is colored with copics and fussy cut and pop with foam tape, and well as the mushroom.
I put WOS on the yellow stars and  her wings, and glossy accents on the hearts and shoes.  The rhinestone is from my stash.
This is a birthday card for my granddaughter Anne, who will be 14 years old.   Her gift will be a shopping day with me!  We both love to shop.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving some love, it makes me very happy and I do appreciate them.

  1. A+.....you've graduated! FANTASTIC card! She is just super sweet and that sentiment is magical in itself! LOVE this! Enjoy your summer school--even though I think you could teach it! xo~

  2. Oh, Barb, this is one sweet card, and your granddaughter is going to LOVE it! What beautiful colors, and this little girl is so sweetly colored! I'm with you about summer school back in my day...hehe! Dating myself. But, yes, nowadays, it's good for learning more and even getting ahead. I'm sure both you and your granddaughter are looking forward to a day of shopping together! How special! Hugs!

  3. That is a sweet and darling card you created. I have to make a granddaughter card too soon for one turning one year old. Still thinking on that one.

  4. Oh thanks for sharing that post. Somehow I missed it, and it sounds like fun. Love your card and I agree with Donna you get an A+.

  5. Ditto what Donna said! You could teach Summer School for sure. Your granddaughter will lover this.....and what fun to go shopping!!! You are a lucky woman - I only have grandsons. Your little fairy gal is so stinkin' cute!! Love the background too - very sweet all the way around!!!

  6. Another cute card....love the background and the stars. Cute little girl too!
