Double D Challenge

The theme is Mother's Day- Happy Birthday and we are to use the tile board below to inspire us.

There is a lot of inspiration here, but I chose the heart shape and the pink color with a little touch of lavender.  I had a stamp set in mind and I went with that. The tile board really gives me a feeling of spring too. So I will get right to it and here is my card.

I used the stamp set and matching die from Simon Says called Roses for You.  The image is colored with Zigs watercolor pens and die cut.  Since my Mother has gone to Heaven 10 years ago, I made this a card that could be used as a birthday or Mother's day card.
I am entering this card in the Double D challenge here
Hope that you all had a wonderful Mother's day.  Thanks for stopping by and I do appreciate your comments.

  2. This is such a beautiful card. You took the best parts from the inspirational tiles and put them all on your lovely card! Love the soft colors and how you colored your pretty flowers and hearts. I also really like that big heart die, it's very pretty and unique! You know your Mom is always with you, right? xoxo

  5. oh wow, this is just beautiful. First of all, I love the simplicity of it, the focal is the focal, no frills, no other "stuff". Well except for the lovely greeting, the sequins placed perfectly, and those pretty hearts. I love how you have colored everything, and just a touch of lavender to reflect the inspirational tiles. Great take on the challenge....this is a winner!!!
