Seize the Birthday - No toppings



Here were are in the new year and it is time for another challenge at Seize the Birthday.  Last year was a busy year with good and bad events, but we have survived, and all is good.  I have great memories of things that we are able to do, like travel, and some of my relationships have gotten closer and better.

We have a Surprise party Guest for the month of January and February.  Please welcome Rahmat Goose!   You can find her lovely creations here.


Well, on we go as this month, we have no toppings.  So you can make a birthday are of any kind.  Here is my card.  I needed a Masculine Birthday card for January and this is mine.

Design paper called Wishing You Joy. GKD
Copper foil paper
Lorelai leaf and outline leaf from Poppy Stamps
Distress ink in Bundled Sage
Spellbinder dies, oval
Green card stock from my stash

  1. This is gorgeous....err uhm HANDSOME! I love that plaid background and your beautiful foliage! The foliage reminds me of stained glass and is so beautiful with that gold outline! LOVE this!

  8. Oh my gosh, this is just stunning. I love that plaid from Gina's patterned paper, I have it and have not wanted to use it. The foiled paper is just gorgeous and I really like what you have done with that vine. Really, really beautiful!!!

  12. Amazing card, Barbara! I really love the pairing of that beautiful chocolate cardstock with the plaid pp. And the copper foil on the leaves looks amazing! I think I should try that combination some time! :)
