Lavender amd Lace

Lavender and Lace is the new challenge at Double D challenge.  I started out wanting to use a rose for my card.  After several attempts at getting the right colors I switched it up, and used the Power Poppy stamp called, Lilac Time.  Those roses will probably be used on another card some day.  Click on the title above to see the challenge.
I was able to used my copic markers and get the colors that I wanted for this card.

Power Poppy, Lilac Time
Background die from PTI, got this one from a friend, (you know who you are) I did cut this down as I wanted the base card to show.
Card stock from GKD, Wild Orchid
MFT Home Spun Gingham 6X6 paper pack - Green
Vellum, a bit of white polka dot ribbon colored with my copic marker, few sequins from my stash
Hello die from Simon Says cut three times.  two of white and one of the gingham,

Here is a closer look at the lilac and die cut.  I use this Hello often and it lets my use a card for almost any occasion.  n over lay of vellum to soft the gingham paper.  Glossy accents on the lady bug and the Hello. Of course, some Wink of Stella on the lilacs.

I know that we were to use lace. I hope that the die cut panels make you think of the lace.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I do appreciate your comments so very much. They brighten my day.

  3. I know who that friend is because I got that die cut too. LOVE it, have been hoarding it for some Your lilacs are gorgeous, I love what you did with that Power Poppy image. And then that beautiful color on the gingham....perfect!!!!

  4. I really like how you cut the frame down to show the border. The vellumn over the gingham is a fabulous idea adds a soft pattern. That lilac is the most gorgeous flower ever. I can smell it from here. The sequins and hello are perfect too. Glad you linked it up at Double D.

  5. Gorgeous card, Barbara! The vellum background is perfect with your beautifully colored lilacs. Love the little pop of red with the ladybug. And I especially love Wink of Stella on the flowers.

  10. Be still my heart, this is so gorgeous! The die cut certainly could be lace. Love how you cut it down to make corners. I agree about the "hello", too. I use a "hello" die often for the same reason. Thanks for joining us at Double D, Barbara!

  11. Can I just say that when I come by your blog...I feel so inadequate in the creative department!! Your cards are always after another after another! Seriously, how do you do it? This one is jaw dropping!
