Mod Squad Challenge - May - Let's Color!

Time sure has been going fast and I find that I am busier than ever. We will have some traveling to do this spring and I an trying to work ahead with these posts.  For this challenge, I am going to make it easy for you and for me as well.  I am challenging you to make a project and put some coloring on it. Not stamping in color, get out your colored pencils, paints, crayons, what ever you color with and join in.
Here is my example for this challenge.

I challenged myself to do a new technique for coloring.  I used just the two colored pencils that you see in the photo and blended them with Gamsol.  It was so easy and I am sure that I will be doing this often.  I was able to get the blue/green colors that inspired my with the patterned paper.  Power Poppy by Marcella, designs such beautiful flowers and plants, that they are so easy to bring to life.

Here is another view of the card.

A close up of the succulent. I actually added some dew drops, but they are impossible to see.

Ingredients: Power Poppy Succulent Singles  stamp set
White card base, Gina K designs
Patterned paper by Recollections - Green Brush Strokes
                    Die-namics Stitched Round Rectangles
Textured dark green paper from The Paper Studio
                    Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol
                    Wink of Stella - Clear

Thanks for much for stopping by, your comments brighten my day. Hope to see your entry in the challenge.

  2. Barb, this is gorgeous, and I agree that Marcella's images are amazing! Your coloring is beautiful, and I love the layout with the frame. Did you not add this to the "Frame It Up" Power Poppy challenge? It fits. Love it! Hugs! xoxo

  3. LOVE your frames, and that patterned paper is perfect for that image. Your coloring is fantastic, isn't Gamsol fun to work with? Amazing how the pencil just melts and blends. This is a really great example of that. Great challenge too, you should get a lot of takers. Super pretty card!!
