Doube D Challenge - Nautical

Hello Crafty Friends!  Happy 4th of July to you! We just had a wonderful weekend weather wise.  Sunny, but not too hot.  We managed to get out and do lots of things summer and I even got a little sun.  It feels so good.  Good thing I had my card done for the first Double D Challenge of the month of July. I didn't want to stay inside this weekend.   By the way, our theme is spot on for the beginning of summer.  It is Nautical!
Here is the mood board to inspire you.

And the Prize is
CottageCutz Paddles & Rope Ladder (Net)

I did not have a stamp that I wanted to use, so I went to the free digital images that I could print out.
I found the sailing ship and it was just what I wanted to print out on my laser printer and then used black foil and sent it through my Minc to make it shiny. Here is what I mean.
I also used a stamp by Stampers Anonymous called Evidence of Art.  I love the sentiment and the hint of the words that I stamped across the sky.  A little water coloring and some sea creatures to finished it off.
Here is an angle to show off the shine.
Visit the other teammates for more inspiration and a random chance at this cute die.  I could see some cute cards made with this die.
Thanks for stopping by I hope that you play with us this challenge, and I do appreciate your comments.

  1. The BEST Nautical card yet! I love your water coloring! That majestic ship is emerging from the fog, so classic! Friend or Foe? Not sure as yet! The sea creature dies and anchor are the perfect accents! I also love how created the focal panel and have the water coloring it beneath it too. Very nice!!!

  4. Fabulous card. The water color background is perfect for the ship. Think this one is a framer. You know I am going to be humming that song all day now, but it's a good song so that's ok.
