Creative Confetti : Rule of Thirds

Hello, Creative Confetti fans! I have a challenge for you this week and I sure hope that you join me. I got this idea from a friend and I wanted to use it. Let's call it the rule of thirds.   Have you heard about that rule in the art world?  You can look it up if you like, but I am going to do a little twist on that anyway.

HOW TO PLAY: Create a card and divide it into thirds. Are you bold enought to divide up that beautiful creation that you colored.  I was!  You can do it too.

On to my Creation!

We are very lucky to winter in the warmer climate of Florida and we just got back to Wisconsin recently. Here, spring is just thinking about blossoming and I see some tulips, but not a lot.  That is why I decide to use the digital stamp from Power Poppy called Tulips. I printed it out on express it paper and colored it with Copic markers. The background is Distressed Ink in Peeled Paint and applied with a brush. Then I took the step to actually cut it into thirds and mounted it to my base card.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Power Poppy stamp, So Grateful in Platinum embossing powder.

Copic for the  Tulips, V01, V04, V06, V09 and some white gel pen. For the leaves YG03, YG63 and Yg 67
The hardest part for me is to add the splatters.  These are Novo drops applied with just the tip of the bottle. Thay way I have more control

It's your turn, I hope you have the courage to divide up your creations! I will be waiting to see how you get out of your comfort zone. Remember after you create, link your creation using linky.  Every entry is one more chance to win $25 to spend in the Power Poppy Shop.

Until I see you again, please stay safe and well and create something.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

  1. This is so beautiful, and I love the challenge. I can tell you had so much fun coloring this beautiful image. It lends itself so well to the colors you have used. Love the splatters too, the perfect final touch. Especially with the yellow background. I don't often think to use a different color other than light blue or gray. Thanks for the inspiration, well done!!!

  3. This is beautiful. Your coloring looks fabulous. I know it would take a lot of nerve to cut a beautifully colored image like that, but yours looks great cut that way. TFS
Glad you had a safe trip back to Wisconsin.

  4. This is beautiful as I told you already. I think adding the strips of paper was just what it needed. However, if I could color as beautiful as this not sure I could stick it on a paper cutter. HUGS!
